[Might do holiday things like this that are not completely connect from the story. Happy birthday Mr. Hozier-Byrne! (March 17)]

Well today is the day.

I sit up in bed and rub my eyes softly, the morning sun warming the room. I lower my hands and look around, a sleepy smile on my face. Hmmm. Where could he be?

I pull the sheets to the side and throw my legs over the edge of the bed, my feet dangling above the dark wood floors.

"Hozier." I croak out, my voice not yet ready this morning.

I clear my throat and look around, scratching the side of my head, my eyes still a tad blurry.

I see him step out from the door by the kitchen, rubbing his head with a towel and taking a double check my direction. "Oh, good mornin'." he greets me with a smile.

"Morning." I croak and yawn, scooting closer to the edge of the bed to stand up.

He makes his way over to me, towel now thrown over his shoulder, handing me a cup of water. "How'd ya sleep?"

"Good." I close my eyes and take the water, excitement beginning to overthrill my heart for remembering what day it is.

"Mmm!" humming before swallowing a big gulp of h2o.

"What?" he chuckled at me, a big smile plastered on his face as he walked backwards into the bright, morning lit kitchen.

I bite my tongue and decide to wait to say it. "That water was just what I needed. Thank you." I clear my throat again, believing that one did the trick.

"Good." he turned to the sink and began washing his face, towel placed on the counter next to him.

I make my way over to the window, raising my arm to get the long sleeve up to my forearm. I look outside and see the sun hit the morning dew on the grass. It makes me smile as I watch for a while.

"Well," he turned around, drying his face with the towel now. "I'm goin' to have to go out today, I'll be back at days end."

"Okay." I gave him a quick smile and he put the towel on the counter, then proceeding to walk out the door. Just as he was about to close it, he opened it back up and peeped inside, giving me a warm smile before closing it behind him.

Okay time to get to business.

I dashed over to the closet as fast as I could, opening the door and rumaging through the bag on the top shelf.

Lowering myself down off my tippy toes, I scrunch the bag of decorations in my hands, then close the door and make my way over to the kitchen counter to set them there.

Ripping the bag open I pull out the loooooonng string and a couple of triangle shaped papers attached to it.

"Great." smiling to myself I go and grab a stool and a hammer, some nails with it.

I scan the room for the perfect place to hang up the happy birthday sign, settling with the place above the bed since it immediately directs your attention to it when you walk in.

Getting to work, I quickly hang up the sign up, tripping a couple times on the stool. Silly me.

Throughout the day I continue hanging makeshift decorations, cleaning the cabin, and finally spiffing myself up and nice for him. Though there doesn't seem to be a mirror or pretty clothes around, I find a nice long, striped shirt of his in the closet and put it on, wrapping a rope around my waist and twirling around, letting my hair down and spinning like the pretty princess that I should be.
