"There's not much sunlight left." He says, looking past the branches above us.

"Yeah, no duh.." I whisper under my breathe. I can feel his eyes glare at me for this, pushing my eyes downwards as we continue through the woods. "Do you even know where we are?"

He stays silent and focuses on making use of our time.

I throw my eyes over my shoulder, no longer admiring the scenery around us due to fear. I look down at my bare feet, taking careful steps over the roots of trees sticking out of the damp soil below. Biting my lip out of nervousness, my eyes run to find him. As we walk side by side, he searches the forest, looking for where to venture next, though I think he may be just as lost as I am. "Hey." I grunt as I look up at him, keeping a good amount of distance between us. He ignores me again. "Don't you ignore me!" Our eyes meet, and to my surprise, his are worried and focused. He then gives me a blank look, and continues to search beyond the trees. This silence is agitating me to the point of where I subconsciously grasp his forearm and hold it tightly, trying to stop him. "Hey!"

He turns to me, stopping dead in his tracks and grabs me by my biceps tightly; and for some reason this feels familiar.  He stares at me with a blank, calm look on his face, though I can feel his anger in his touch. This alone scared me, and, if I was a turtle, I would have my head so far into my shell by now. He just holds me there, looking at me intently.

Taking a deep breathe in, I watch as his chest expands through his shirt, and with a sharp exhale, he releases my arms and stands there a moment before slowly leaning down and kissing the top of my head.

I furrow my brows in worry, but follow him quietly through the forest until we come to a little bit of cover, it's not much, just a short space beside a small cliff side. He ducks his head under the makeshift rock roof and into the little cave he went, I followed suit.

There, he sat on the leaf and mud covered floor. "So what now?"  I decide to stay stay on my feet as I am just short enough to stand in this cliff pocket. Crossing my arms I look down at him. "We're sitting ducks just staying here, why don't we keep moving while the daylight it still fresh?" He gently reaches up and grabs a hold of my wrist, carefully tugging on it, I sit next to him, being careful to not sit on my ankle.

He looks at me with a shy smile. "Why don't you just trust me? Maybe I actually know what I'm doing."

"Why don't I trust you?" I raise my voice slightly and it echoes throughout the hollows of the cave. A moment passes and he sighs, looking at me with sad eyes. I shift my weight to lean against the wall. "And do you even know what you're doing? I seems as if you would have any clue to that, then we wouldn't be here, in this-" raising my hand out of the mud I look at it and up at him beside me. "-such colorful place."

Exhaling a sharp breathe he looks away, resting his head on his shoulder. He mumbles something inaudible and I raise my brow at him. "Excuse me?"

He rolls his head to his other shoulder, looking at me, a smirk on his face.  I pout my lips and furrow my brows. "What did you say, Hozier?" I say sternly, but quietly.

Chuckling, he sits up and hums a tune quietly, it echoes through the cave. "I know what I'm doing." He finally spits out with a smile on his face. I continue to glare at him in exertion. Laying myself back against the wall of the cave I close my eyes as we sit in silence for a long moment.

Breaking the silence, I look over at him, my curious eyes still infatuated with him. "Hozier."

He looks down at me, his wrists resting on his bent knees in front of him, raising in eyebrow at me.
