Unknown POV:

It's Saturday already...time flies! I don't even feel prepared as I pace up and down the room nervously.

"Right if you just take a seat here..." the nurse says startling me and pointing to a chair as I take a seat.

I look around the white, boring room with the posters and I move around in the uncomfortable seat.

Another nurse enters asking a few questions and asks me to change into one of those cringey apron thingys.

After changing, I follow the nurse to the operation room taking a deep breath before beginning the process.

As I lay on the bed thing I turn to my left looking at the seperater.

I'm doing this for the little girl!

Masons POV:

I lost all hope yesterday when they said that the chances it will work were very low but I still felt some hope. Come on Ali-Marie!

"Mason..." Nurse Sarah says as I look up in hope "the transfer has been successful" she says smiling and I exhale a deep breath I didn't know I was holding as I move my hands away from my face.

"What? Seriously?" I ask in shock and in a loud voice as Nurse Sarah nods.

"Yes you can go see her" she tells me.

"Thank you" I whisper as a happy tear falls down my cheek.

I-It worked...the operation worked, it was successful!

"Nurse..." I call before she walks away "...who was it?" I ask standing up

Nurse Sarah looks up biting her lip nervously "the donor wants to remain anonymous"

"Ok, can you at least say thanks from me" I say.

"Say it yourself" Nurse Sarah smirks.

"But I don't know who the person is and you just said they want to stay anonymous" I say in an obvious tone.

"You'll find out anyway" she says and I look at her puzzled "let me just say that you definitely know her" Sarah says surprising me.

"What do you mean? and it's a girl" I ask confused.

"She's been a great help and supporter for Alison-Marie" Sarah says as she winks and glances to the side.

I follow her gaze and see Danni.

I open my mouth to question but close it as I look back at Sarah who nods before returning to the ward.

I turn my attention back to Danni who looks worn out and in pain.

She just saved Ali-Marie's life.

I have no control over my body as I feel myself walk over to her and she looks up at me and smiles "it was successful" she says smiling and inhaling sharply.

I nod at her and she raises an eyebrow and I embrace her into a hug.

Not any hug, a thankful, genuine hug.

I can imagine her looking shocked and surprised as she feels stiff but then I feel her relax and I pull away "thank you" I say setting another happy tear free "thank you so much" I repeat looking down.

"Don't worry about it" Danni says nonchalantly causing a smile to appear on both our faces.

"Are you ok?" I ask as she shrugs "I will be" she mumbles.
