Chapter 38

Danielle's POV:

"Mum! Dad!" I scream as I see them enter the room.

Ecstatic isn't even the word to describe how I'm feeling.

Mason helps me up from the sofa and I smile at him as dad aproaches me first as mum greets Anne.

"My little girl" Dad shakes his head as I hug him tightly.

I hear mum gasp as I look up "my poor baby" she says as she joins in the hug.

"Uggh" I groan at the pain in my arm.

"Sorry" mum says "it doesn't matter" I tell her.

"Ahhh" Michelle screams running into the room and hugging us.

"Mum, dad?" I whisper "Noel" I say and everyone stiffens.

Mum is unable to contorl her tears "I'm sorry" I say in guilt.

Mum nods at me as dad says "it wasn't your fault...".

"Ok come on people" Michelle says fanning her tears away as we all sniffle "youre back" she says positvely.

"If you girls are ready, we can go home tonight" Mum suggests.

"Yes" I say happily, home sweet home.

"Did you not like it here?" Anne asks with fake offence.

"No I-It's been ages and I..." I stutter nervously.

"I'm joking" Anne laughs "Charles!" she calls walking away.

"Boys!" Dad calls as he walks towards Mason and Nathan.

They greet each other and I laugh as dad jokes with them and just like typical boys, they disappear to the games room.

"Dance the night away grab somebody drink a little more..." Anne and mum sings as Michelle and I burst out in laughter.

"That wasn't random at all" I say sarcastically as I limp over to them.

"Lalalalalalalalalalalalalala-a..." Michelle joins in as she helps me sit down.

Dad walks in to the room surprised and mum and Anne go silent as they point at Michelle and I.

"Hey, I wasn't singing" I state "if my leg wasn't broken, I'd run after you" I say.

"Honey..." mum calls to Michelle.

"What's up mum?" Michelle asks.

"Well, tonight Anne, myself and your father are going out for dinner...so do you girls want to stay here the night?" Mum asks.

"We'll be fine" Michelle smiles "are you ok with that?" she asks me and I nod in agreement.

"Curious....?" I raise my hand as everyone looks over at me "when will my broken bones be ok?" I ask.

"A couple of days" Anne says and I sigh.

I watch as mum and Anne giggle away like teenage girls and dad leaves the room to answer a phone call.

Nathan sits over beside Michelle and Mason calls me from the kitchen.

I gesture to my leg and arm and Mason sighs.

"Erm, I'm hungry I'll be back in a minute" I think of an excuse.

Great an excuse about food, way to go make me sound like a never ending eating food girl...which I kind of am but oh well.

"Do you need help?" Everyone asks.

"I'll help" Mason volunteers.

"Very casual" I whisper sarcastically as I lean on Mason.
