Mason’s POV:
We all laugh as we wait for our drinks in the hangout ‘Jays’ it was named after Jesse’s dad also known as the manager.
“So things are getting serious between you and my sister” Alex says to Jacob.
Jacob puts his head down acting shy “whoa” Alex and I cheer.
“I’m happy for you man but if you hurt her you’ll be sorry, understand?” Alex says and Jacob nods along.
“Thanks” I say to the waitress who puts our drinks down.
She smiles at me and winks before walking away.
“Dude…” Alex says “did you just...? Why didn’t you stop her or call her back? Or flirt?” he asks.
“I didn’t want to” I say “I'm not a player” I state.
“Yeah but you always get their numbers or flirt with them” Jacob points out.
“Oh shit, what happened?” Alex asks worrying.
“Nothing” I say casually taking a sip of my drink and looking away from them.
Jacob pulls my drink away and Alex looks at me suspiciously “what’s her name?” they both ask.
Danni! “Whose?” I play dumb.
“The girl that’s got you thinking about her” Jacob says.
“You guys are crazy” I say “the only girls that I think about is my mom and Ali-Marie” I say…and Danni.
“No you’re lying” Alex says “this is what Jacob was like blanking out and thinking about my sister” he says.
“Dude” Jacob says “but yeah” he smiles.
“Do we know her?” Alex asks.
“No” I lie to my best friends.
“Well that’s…” Jacob doesn’t know how to finish his sentence “I thought for a minute it was…”
“Danni” they both say as they smile at each other.
“What? No!” I say faking a laugh.
“Good because I would’ve had to give you the ‘don’t hurt her speech’” Alex says.
“So how did you meet her?” Jacob asks.
“The park” I answer and then realise that I actually did meet Danni in the park.
“So what’s up with it?” Jacob asks whilst ordering a pizza.
“Honestly, I have no idea. I think I like her” I admit “I don’t know for sure but I think I'm starting to like her” I say.
“What about her?” Jacob asks.
“I don’t know” I say running my hands through my hair.
“My boys are growing up” Alex says proudly.
“We’ve been grown up for years…” I say.
“…It’s you that needs to grow up” Jacob and I laugh.
“Nikki” I whisper to Alex and he glares at me to shut up.
These guys are my best friends and they're going to find out sooner or later.
Danni, what are you doing to me?
