SHE PROMISED
( part two, chapter fifty-nine )TO SAY THAT ELIJAH WAS ANGRY with allowing them to let Freya leave the Abattoir was an understatement. He was downright furious, stating that they'd only doubted the eldest Mikaelson child instead of trusting her, like they should have been doing this whole time. Nevertheless, he explained that he found an old jazz club in Algiers that would protect them against magic (specifically, Dahlia's magic), and that Marcel would be taking Hayley and Hope there later that night.
Elijah then, turning to his sisters, ordered them to stay with him in the hopes that Freya would come back. "If Freya shall return, we will be here," he had said. "Now, whether we trust her or not, we cannot win this fight without her."
And Elijah was correct in his prediction. Hours later, Freya had arrived completely frazzled. "I need to see Elijah," she said, and Elle and Rebekah nearly sighed with relief when they saw her.
"Freya!" Elle shouted, jogging towards her older sister, then turning to the wolves blocking her. "Hey, mind getting away from her?" Elle used her hands and did a shoo motion with them, glad when they finally moved away.
Once the wolves fully let her in, Elle pulled Freya into a tight hug. "Hey, where have you been? You have any idea how scared I was?" Worry was latched onto every her every word. While she was guilty about having Freya quote-unquote "momentarily banished" from their home, she was more nervous about knowing that Freya was out there at the same time as Dahlia was. It didn't particularly matter to her that she hadn't know Freya for very long; this was her sister. "God, I'm just..." She pressed a hand to her forehead. "I'm just glad you're here."
"Freya."
The sisters turned to see Elijah was quickly approaching them.
"I saw her, Dahlia," Freya said. "She intends to make her move tonight. Klaus and our father will be her next victims."
"And you have returned to warn the very people who would cast you out?" Elijah asked, cocking a brow.
"I understand Klaus' mistrust, as I do yours, but I did not come this far to see my family die at the hands of the very evil that I've tried for so long to escape. I'm begging you 一 help me save them."
Elle looked at Elijah and Rebekah, and the three nodded their heads. "Tell me what you need," Elijah said.
"Dahlia will lure them into a trap. She prefers places of darkness. She'll be drawn to any site that's been steeped in death."
"Well, welcome to New Orleans," Rebekah scoffed, rolling her eyes in response. Elle too rolled her eyes.
"No, I'm talking about dark power created by massacre," Freya explained. "Sacred ground that's been stained with the blood of the innocent."
At that statement, Elle's eyes went wide. There was one very specific place that they all knew about. "I know where they'll be," Elle said, "Saint Anne's Church."

"This church really isn't getting a hella good reputation," Elle sighed as they walked up the steps of the church. "Seriously, one year there should just be happy fun times. Let's just get this over with, shall we, sister?"
They all had decided on the plan, allowing Freya to work as the main diversion while Elle would be her backup. It seemed rather flawed in her opinion, but she had no idea how else she would be able to help Elijah and she refused to stay home like Rebekah. So this automatically put her on edge, also the fact that Elle would be seeing her father for the first time since he was brought back. It still seemed odd that despite how long Elle had known she was a Mikaelson and brought back into the family, it had taken this long to be reunited.
