Sitting in the locker room between Fulton and Ken, Leia chugged her water down quickly as Bombay gave one of his encouraging speeches. Leia gazed around the locker room at her teammates. She was having a great time. She couldn't wait to get back to the ice, but they had a break right now. The room wasn't too loud, everyone seemed chatty, but listened to Bombay. He was explaining that the team didn't need to be all high and mighty, they needed to be who they were and not who everyone else wanted them to be.

Leia was pumped and excited, she loved her team. It was Team USA and they were all excited to be there. The Games were a fantastic opportunity for the kids. Leia was with her fellow Duck teammates and six new recruits from across the country. She was having a good time as this was a new opportunity for her. She couldn't tell anyone how excited she was. She was thrilled to be art of the team.

She looked over to Charlie, who wore shoes and the team's jersey. He gave her a smile and she smiled back, making him grin wider. He wasn't dressed up from head to toe in gear like everyone else. He had given up his slot so Adam could play. He'd been out for a few games so his wrist could recover and that morning, his wrist was fine. Charlie, being a mini Coach Bombay, had gave up his spot. Leia found that nice of him and she adored Charlie for how kind and selfless he was. He was always thinking of everyone else. She couldn't of asked for a better best friend than him.

Bombay paced around the room and then stopped, pointing to Dean Portman, who looked around, but Bombay nodded when Portman pointed to himself. "You, who are you?"

"Ugh, Dean Portman."

"From where?" He asked.

"Chicago, Illinois." He answered.

"You." He turned and pointed to his blond Duck.

"Guy Germaine."

"From where?"

"St-Paul, Minnesota."

The kids on the benches continued and went around in a messy loop. Each of them taking their turns and standing, proud of themselves and their teammates. Thy were all gifted with such a great opportunity, they were thrilled to be standing in that locker room and with thee kids they called family.

"You." Bombay turned, pointing to another player.

"Jesse Hall. Minneapolis, Minnesota."

"Where are you from?"

"Julie Gaffney from Bangor, Maine."

"Luis Mendoza. Miami, Florida." He stood up proudly, looking around the room to see who was next. Leia smiled, she was realizing that her team came from across the entire country. They weren't just Ducks, they weren't just kids either. They were all friends and a family, they belonged together. They were there for one reason, they all had a passion for hockey.

"Greg Goldberg. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania."

"Lester Averman from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota."

Next, Fulton stood up. "Fulton Reed from Still Water, Minnesota!" He called and Dean brought a hand to Fulton's shoulder, tapping it out of excitement and he was proud to call him his friend.

"Russ Tyler, south central Los Angeles, California." He smiled. Charlie got up now, bringing an arm around his new friend and smiled.

"Charlie Conway. Minneapolis, Minnesota."

"Ken Wu, San Francisco, California."

Next up, the blonde girl with a big heart stood up. She grinned widely, unable to keep herself relaxed. She was too proud to be there and she loved what Bombay was doing. "Leia Fox from Edina, Minnesota."

Beside her beau, Guy, Connie stood up. "Connie Moreau, Minneapolis, Minnesota."

"Adam Banks. Edina, Minnesota." He had glanced down to Leia, they were from the same part of the state. He smiled and she nodded, blowing him a friendly kiss and he laughed, looking back at the team.

"Dwayne Robertson from Austin, Texas."

"Michele MacKay. Duluth, Minnesota." The team' tutor stood next to Bombay with a smile.

Bombay approached the group, smiling to Miss MacKay and then to the rest of his team. "And I'm Gordon Bombay from Minneapolis, Minnesota. And we're Team USA gathered here from all across America. And w're gonna stick together."

Leia listened to the talk around the room about why they were sticking together. They were a team and Ducks fly together. She and the team had changed into new uniforms. Together, they stepped out of the room as a new team and they were ready to take flight. They were ready to take on the Iceland team. They were going for the gold, after all, Bombay did promise them gold at their first team practice. "Team USA's gonna win the gold!" His team had chanted that day.

The blonde kept that mind as she skated a lap around the rink with her teammates. She surpassed the players from the middle and back, making her way to the front and skated around with Luis.
