The hockey practice was longer than she thought. Leia was wide awake and watching the practice, but the moment they were scrimmaging and practicing their shots on net, she grew awfully tired. With the head injury, the long day at school and sitting around, she had yawned and fallen asleep.

She'd been at school all day, but because she hadn't been doing anything at home but watching TV and sitting around, she didn't really pay attention in class. She had fallen asleep during History when they were watching a documentary for World War 2. She was a lot tired than she shout she was going to be as she wasn't used to the school schedule.

During lunch, she was sitting at the table listening to everyone. She didn't like what they serving that day and didn't eat. She was quiet and when one of the boys pointed her out and that she was asleep, they left her to sleep until the break was over. Connie and Julie had noticed, but didn't want to bother her at all, knowing her injury and all.

Coach Orion blew his whistle when one of kids had passed through the middle. "What have I said about passing through the middle?"

"It's a party puck." Averman replied.

The kids took a breather, standing around on their skates. Charlie glanced around and looked at the stands, wondering where Leia had went. Where she was supposed to be, she wasn't. She had lied her upper body down on the bench inside the player's bench. She was asleep peacefully, the pucks hitting the boards or posts didn't bother, the whistle did not bother her, the yells and cheers did not bother her. None of it did.

"All right, start it up again, let's go." He whistled, skating away from the center of the ice. The team was split into two groups.

Dwayne came down the ice, bouncing the puck on his stick as he searched for someone to pass it off to. When he noticed Adam wide open, he shot it over there. Adam raised his skate, stopping the puck with his skate and then grabbed the puck with his stick. "Connie!" He called, passing it over to her.

She spun on her skates, passing it around to Fulton. He lifted his stick quickly and every player skated away, not wanting to be in the way as he was shooting. Julie never feared him, if she could play against the Varsity boys from last year, then she could play against Fulton as well. Slamming his stick against the puck, it went flying in mid air towards Julie. With a huff and push of a skate, she blocked the entrance and the puck had hit her chest padding, then fell to the ice with a drop. She tipped it behind her net and Charlie came skating behind. "Luis!" He yelled.

Luis turned his head back and watched the puck come gliding down the ice's surface. He waited for it to approach him. Coming from the side, Guy had brought his stick under Luis', tipping it to the side. The puck had hit the boards and the two players ran to the boards, hitting them roughly as they stopped abruptly next to them. Their sticks banged on the boards, fighting for the puck. Smirking, Portman knocked both of them to the ice and took the puck, bringing it.

As the practice was finishing up, Coach Orion blew his whistle. He told his players they had fifteen minutes to get undressed and clear the room. They had homework to get done and all of them needed showers because he see the sweat on their foreheads as each of them had taken their helmets off. As the players had left, Coach Orion skated over to the boards, tapping the tops as he was seeing where Leia Fox.

"Taking a nap during my practice there, Fox?" He asked.

Slowly, she woke up and nodded, sitting up. She rubbed her eyes and looked up at him, briefly sending him a smile. "Sorry, Coach. I tried-"

He chuckled. "No worries. Practice is over. The others are in the locker room."

She stood up with his aid. Stepping on to the ice, he took her hand and helped her across the ice to the opening. When she got off the ice, she thanked him and entered the locker room. The room was fairly loud with kids talking to one another, the showers running, and the doors shutting and opening. "Hey, Leia, where were you?" Russ asked, taking his jersey off.

"I feel bad I fell asleep." She answered, walking down the line towards her spot. Charlie, wearing his lower gear with straps on his shoulders, had brought his hands to her shoulders. He applied pressure and rubbed them. She loved the feeling of a message to her shoulders, but she knew he needed to get undressed and get his studies done.

"Don't be." Connie spoke up. "You need rest for that injury."

"It a stupid injury." She spat, turning and sitting down. Charlie's hands had fallen from her shoulders and she sat down next to him. Her spot was in front of him and Adam's was next to Goldberg at the other end of the line. He was in the showers, so was Luis, Dwayne, Portman and Fulton. "Why couldn't I of like broken my arm or a finger?" She asked with a sigh.

"Injuries are part of the sport." Guy butted in.

"Yes, but head isn't so bad. At least you didn't bleed out and die." Averman added.

"I think I would of rather liked a blade to the skin. Not shoulders up though, or ribs." Leia replied.

"I don't think you would of liked that either." Charlie laughed, hanging his pants on the hook. She looked up at him. "You're going to complain about the injury either way."

She gasped, slapping his thigh. "Ouch." She brought a hand to the chest and he laughed, the others laughing or smiling as well.

"Hey!" Portman called as Fulton had twirled one of the towels up and whipped him. Adam walked out with pants on shaking his head. He didn't realize that Leia was in the room, but didn't really care because everyone in the room, boy or girl, had changed together for years now. As they were older, they matured and sure, sometimes a hot body did make some boys jealous and some in awe, but no one ever said anything. Unless they joked around, which they did often.

Leia brought a hand to her mouth, yawning. "I should get going." She spoke up.

"Where to?" Russ laughed.

"Where do you think?"

"You can walk home on your own with that head injury?"

She turned and nodded. "Yes, I'm not blind and I can still walk, can't I?"

Russ brought his hands up in defense. "Just checking, last I recall you asked me this morning what street you lived on."

The others laughed and she had to admit, being with her team and talking about the injury seemed to make things less different for Leia. All of them, including her, joked around and laughed about it, so she didn't feel so alone as she did on the weekend with the injury. She was glad the team didn't treat her differently, they only asked her every now and then if she was all right or needed a rest.

"Just wait, I go with you." Charlie spoke up. Adam looked away from grabbing his shirt from his bag. Leia noticed him, but looked over to Charlie, shaking her head.

"It's good. I'm going to my dorm anyway. Julie, you got a key?"

The honey blonde girl nodded, passing her key to Leia. She caught the key and continued to the door. She walked by herself to her dorm, but the walk back wasn't what she had thought it would be.
