Leia walked into the locker room where all of her friends were. She set her bag down on the floor and ran over to all of her friends. They all hollered and gathered into a group, except Karp and Terry who had shoved Peter into a locker and attempted to shut the door, crushing him inside. Coach Bombay was out in the hallway waiting for his new player to show up.

"Who's ready to rumble?!" Leia shouted, tumbling to the floor with her teammates. Fulton laughed with a head shake from side to side as he looked at the pile of half dressed hockey players, along with Leia who had just entered the room.

"Ducks! Ducks!" The kids shouted in unison.

Coach Bombay greeted his new player and then entered the locker room. Adam Banks, previously from the Hawks team, had stood aside next to Bombay, a little shy. He looked quite mature, but he was by himself and held himself quietly. He took a deep breath and looked around the room at the kids. He saw a few shoving each other into the lockers and the others were in a large group on the floor fooling around in their gear.

He knew this team and he knew the players on the team. He and them were all around the age of ten years old. He watched quietly with his Hawks bag on his shoulder and stick in hand, his jacket not zipped up, but over his shoulders and body. Coach Bombay coughed and his players turned.

Adam had played the team before a few times. Every time his team had won and they never went full on. They had lots of fun during the games against District-5 because they sucked. They couldn't skate, which meant the Hawks could do what ever. The leading scorer of the Hawks was Adam Banks, followed by Larson and McGill. Leia Fox and the team of Ducks always hated the Hawks, especially Adam, Larson, and McGill. They always treated the District-5 team like they worthless brats who were poor and did nothing but joke around. But being a tight group allowed the kids to be close to one another like they were.

Leia was shoved off of Charlie and she stood near the back of the group. Jesse rolled his eyes and turned. "It's a Cake-Eater." He muttered to them.

They were in a gathered group, except Karp, Terry and Peter who laughed side by side. "I can handle this." Leia smirked.

"Lei, I don't think so." Charlie spoke.

"Dude, just let her." Jesse shrugged, half smiling as he knew what she was going to do. "Let's go LJ."

Leia approached and Bombay smiled down to her, happy someone came to greet the new player. Adam was afraid because he'd been with his own friends when he picked on the Ducks, but now the Ducks outnumbered him. Anything could potentially happen to him. Leia and Adam had met before a few times, but they were two strangers who knew each other. Leia was always protected by the team, as well as Connie, but she wasn't always around when the boys were being picked on by the Hawks.

"Quel tard. Ca devrait être si plate que tu est ici toute seule. Tu sait, sans ta gang de nulle cons d'oiseaux. Actuellment, je pensais-" She started and made fun on him in french. The boys from her team laughed behind her, most of them not having a clue what she had said and nor did Adam, but he knew all too well that she spoke English just fine.

Bombay brought his hands to his hips and looked at Leia. "Knock it off, Leia." He told her.

"What? I was just introducing myself." She said nonchalantly. "You know, to that Hawk." She spat and turned, walking back over.

Leia dressed herself quickly with her buddies, then got up. She followed her teammates out of the room. All of them dressed from head to toe in green Ducks uniforms. They carried their sticks with them and walked single file between Bombay and Adam Banks. Half of them bumping into Adam's shoulder and he stumbled back. "You don't belong here." Leia spoke, followed by Jesse.

"Cake-Eater." He spat and hit his shoulder roughly. Fulton walked out next with a hardened face, not saying a word, but his face told Adam everything.

Bombay sighed. "They're a cool bunch once you get to know them."

"I bet." Adam answered.

"They'll warm up to you."

Adam hoped that they would because he desperately wanted to play hockey. This was his only way as the lines had been redrawn and Adam no longer was a Hawk, but a Duck. He did not like the change and every player from the team hated him. he disliked the way they treated him, but he and his friends had done the same. Now it was receiving the hateful words in return and he really did hope that they'd accept him as a Duck.
