     School. There, I don't need to say anything else to get you into the setting. Just imagine, a school. Eva walked tiredly down the school halls. First day. Of course to her almost every day was a first day for something. First day as an orphan, first day away from home, first day at an orphanage, first day to meet new people, first day to see possible foster parents, first day at said foster parents' house, first day bla-bla-bla! Eva was stinking tired of first days. She bumped into a kid in the hall but just ignored him. He looked back at her though but started talking to one of his friends before Eva could notice. She found her locker and opened it before dumping everything in there. This was actually her first time ever using a locker. She was homeschooled every year accept, kindergarten, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and fifth grade. And yes I said kindergarten twice on purpose. She was held back that first year.

     "Hey, Eav, is it?" A lady, probably a teacher, asked. Eva turned to look at her. Her thick brown hair fell into her face over her dark grey glasses, like always, and it was hard to see her eyes.

     "Yeah?" She asked with little emotion.

     "First, can you please brush the hair out of your face?" She asked politely. Eva obeyed and brushed her hair behind her ears so the lady could see her light brown eyes staring slightly up at her. "Welcome Eva, to Brooklyn High. My name is Mrs. Parrot. I heard you have had a pretty hard ti-"

     "I don't want to talk about it." Eva interupted.

     "-And I wasn't planning on talking about it either. I just wanted to say that here you can feel right at home if you want." As she said that Eva examined the halls as the crowds pushed by. The place just had that business vibe to it.

     'Defenitally homey.' She thought sarcastically to herself.

     "Anyway, I will be taking you to your class. So follow me." The lady spake saying. :}

     Once in class, Eva sat down somewhere around the center since she didn't really want to stand out very much. The boy she bumped into sat next to her. He almost had a look on his face that said if someone else sat there he would kick them out. I may as well describe him. The boy had light blond hair and dark blueish green eyes. His hoodie he wore was made out of black leather and he had a plain blue t-shirt and jeans on. He didn't really look like he would fit in the bully or bullied group, more of a right in between size and style.

     "I'm Nick." The boy said as he stook his hand out to Eva for a hand shake. She hesitated for a moment but shook it.

     "I'm Eva." She said slightly politely.

     "What's your favorite color?" He asked, not sure what else to say.

     "Teal." She answered without looking left at him, he had sat on her left side incase you were wondering.

     "Morning class. I am Mr. Cabillis and welcome to English class." The teacher announced as he stood from his desk. "Today we have a new student. Would you like to introduce yourself Eva?" He asked. Eva wasn't used to people she didn't know saying her name. She slowly stood up.

     "My name is Eva." She answered plainly. Some of the others giggled when she didn't say anything else.

     "Usually we say our FULL names, and a fun memory." Mr. Cabillis smirked.

     "Uuummm... My full name is, Eva, Winner, Nihmonath." Some giggled at the name. "And my favorite memory was..." She hesitated. "Everything, before the, 'incident."

     She didn't even notice a tear had fallen from her eye until she saw it land on the desk she was looking down at. She quickly sat down before anyone could notice, luckily it looked like only Mr. Cabillis and Nick noticed. Nick put his hand comfortingly on Eva's shoulder but she swiped it away and scowled at him. He quickly put his hand to his side and wished he hadn't done anything. Class started and things faded into blandness and learning.
