Eva finally smiled and pounced at Nick with a big hug. She kissed his cheek litely and Nick blushed.
"D- does that mean you will rule with me?" Nick asked with new joy. It was slowly growing at the thought.
"What else would it mean?!" Eva chuckled and hugged Nick tighter. Nick became overjoyed with the answer and hugged back and spun around in the air with her in his arms.
"Yess." He said happily, almost a whisper. Then they loosened the hug and looked eachother in the eyes. "I love you Eva." Nick smiled happier than ever before. Then Eva went for the internal dare and kissed Nick directly on the lips. It was not much but a little smooch. But right after that Eva squealed the first girly squeal in her life as she flew away, face completely covered in a red blush.
Nick just stared into space with a face that made it look like he thought he was dreaming. He just slowly floated backwards, leaning back, until he was practically upside-down. Then he snapped out of it and straitened himself, facing back up like a normal person. But he couldn't get the cherry color off his cheeks. Then he smiled brighter and chased after Eva in the direction she had flown in. The rest of the day was spent simply playing around the world like children, teleporting from place to place in their game of tag. But after that, things took a much more serious form.
><><><>Three Years Later<><><><
Eva and Nick landed in front of two massive steel doors. The terrain around them was rocky and cold but they both emitted a little white glow, showing that they had their own ways of staying warm. Together they pried the doors open and looked into the pitch black room. They used their own glowing white eyes as flashlights. Both Eva and Nick had grown quite a bit since the three years ago that they first declared war on the Earth, besides now being nineteen of course. They both had newer scars of all kinds on them, but none too visible, and Eva no longer wore glasses. She had found a way to fix that problem a while back ago with her powers. But sometimes she still wore glasses for fun.
Nick and Eva wore pretty casual clothes as they entered the dark space. Eva wore some dark blue jeans like the ones she wore just over three years ago. And a dark red, long sleve, v-neck shirt, that tucked into the pants. With a black sleveless sweater over it. And her hair was up in a ponytail as she and Nick ventured deeper into the darkness. Nick wore some tan military style pants and a black t-shirt. And his hair was cut slightly shorter at the sides.
"You sure the thingy-ma-bopper is in here?" Eva asked.
"It isn't called that silly." Nick chuckled. "It's the dimension portal or something I think." Nick said.
"Heh, sounds like you don't know the name of it either." Eva smiled at him.
"No I just need a moment to remember." Nick told her. If Eva had her pupils at the moment, she would have rolled her eyes.
"Oh bother." She responded with a little laugh.
"And remember to use the rings if we get lost in here." Nick smiled in the darkness.
"Oh garsh, you going to try and bring up the fact that we're married as many times as you can now?" Eva asked with obvious sarcastic annoyance. Ah yes, the two had just gotten married not even a full month ago, still technically on their honeymoon. And the two had agreed to not have children until after several years, since they were still young. The two still loved going on adventures together and wanted to keep doing that as much as possible.
The war itself hadn't been all too bad either. It was pretty quick. Just a week or so. Once everyone figured out that they could stop a missile, mid flight, practically everyone surrendered. And those who didn't were really just stubborn and nothing else. And other than a few rebels here and there, the war was already over.
Eventually Eva was the one who stumbled intl something. It was a large lever in the ground. She pulled it out of curiosity and the lights in the place turned on. It was a large rectangular warehouse. And at the very end, opposite to the door. Was a circular metal frame. It looked just like a portal might.
"That's it!" Nick exclaimed. Both Nick and Eva then ran over to it.
"You know how it works?" Eva asked Nick.
"The ones who made it were close, but they never found the right energy source." Nick smiled. Eva smiled back with an equal excitement. Nick put his hand on the frame of the portal and they both watched as power from his hand flowed into the machine. Like hoped, the portal lit up and a greyish blue vortex appeared in the center of the contraption.
"Ladies first." Nick smirked as he looked over at Eva.
"Such a gentleman." Eva scoffed sarcastically. Then with a flying start, Eva flew strait through the portal, Nick right behind her.
