"Incident" [Canceled Series]

     Three weeks later. Three weeks later Eva was beginning to master her powers. Three weeks later Eva's leg was almost fully healed up. Three weeks later, Nick's strength had completely come back to him. And he was ready for his plan to be pushed into full swing.

     "Hey Eva. Put on a nice but not too nice outfit. We are going back to New York." Nick told Eva as she was marveling at a flame she herself was making in her hand.

     "Wa- why?!" Eva jumped up startled by the sudden news.

     "You will see when we get there. But make sure you wear something you can easily fight in." Eva smiled at that. She loved fighting. And within the last two weeks she had figured out how to go to Minecraft on her own and fought zombies and skeletons when she was bored. But a part of her was wondering what or who they would be fighting.

     Eva changed from her jammies into some dark blue jeans that went all the way from her bellybutton down to just above her ankles. She put on a light teal undershirt that fit perfectly on her and for fun instead of wearing a normal t-shirt over it she wore an old Minecraft t-shirt that she had cut the bottom almost half off a long time ago because there were moth holes. She only wore that shirt for pjs but she figured it would be a lot easier to move around in. And mostly because it just completed the outfit. And Eva put her hair up in a tight lazy-bun, which would help keep the hair out of her face but also looked pretty cute.

     When Eva was out of the bathroom Nick blushed and had to force himself not to stare. He didn't know Eva was that cute.. Her hair up somehow helped make her look even cuter than usual.

     "Well, let's go then." Eva.

     "Yeah. Just a moment." Nick said as he quickly ran over to grab a small trinket he quickly slid into his pocket.

     Eva was looking up at the sky when suddenly a question popped up in her head. "Wait, Nick. What is today's date?" She asked.

     "Uummm, May 23. Why you ask?" ..Eva's face lit up with excitement.

     "Oh my gosh! That means I am seventeen now! I can't believe I forgot my own birthday!!" Nick chuckled at Eva's surprised but excited face.

     "Heh, I guess I forgot too. Well I guess now would be the best time to give you your birthday present." Nick smiled. Then he stuck his hand deep into his pocket to pull out the thing he had just slid in there. He pulled it out and handed it to Eva as casually as his nervous self could. Eva grabbed it in her palm before even looking at it. When she did see it, she didn't know what to think. It was a ring. Though not normal. It was made of a iron that was a pretty dark and warrior looking shade. When Eva looked closely at it she saw engraved in it was her name in the Minecraft enchanting language.

     "An engagement ring?" Eva asked, her face turning red and her whole self not sure what to do or think.

     "N- n- no! Heh heh, no. It- it's just a friendship kind of thing." Nick objected with a red face too. Both of them chuckled awkwardly. Then Eva slid hers on her right ring finger and looked at the cool looking engravings on it. She then saw Nick already had an almost identical one on his finger, accept it had his name engraved in it.

     "Does it do anything magical, like Narnia?" Eva asked with a big smile.

     "Sort of. If they were swapped we would be able to sense where eachother were without even using our powers. But right now they just tell us where we are if we want. Not very handy unless we are lost I guess." Nick said. He left out that the whole swapping of the rings was a marriage ceremonial thing the ones he was raised with did. But Eva seemed satisfied with the answer. "So, I guess we should be going now?" Nick broke the awkward silence.

     "Yeah, sure." Eva answered. And she grabbed Nick's hand and he teleported them both.

     They both appeared in the sky above the tall buildings of New York City. Eva was caught off guard and fell for a moment before kicking her new flying powers into action and floating back up the few inches she had fallen down.

     "Heh, oops. You didn't say we would be re appearing over a hundred feet above the ground." Eva giggled nervously. She had never been so high up before.

     "Oops, my bad." Nick apologized.

     "So, will we be fighting the ISS or something?" Eva asked.

     "Correct." Nick.

     "But, why now? I thought we were trying to avoid them." Eva pointed out. Nick then put his hands on Eva's shoulders and looked at Eva with a serious expression.

     "Eva. I am tired of running. I have been running from them for years now. And I am sick and tired of it! Say it is time we show the world who we are and how we want to be treated.. For centuries people have been making up super powerful beings in songs, books, pictures, and more. I say we finally show them how real their wishes for superheroes are. But we introduce ourselves, the right way."

     "So it is true; we get to be superheroes!" Eva exclaimed with a big excited smile.

     "Yes, exactly!" Nick said, copying Eva's joy.

     "So cool!" Eva said happily. "So that is what you meant earlier about us helping the world! Do we get to come up with a secret identities too?!" Eva questioned.

     "No. Like I said before, I want us to do this the right way." Nick answered.

     "Oh.." Eva said with a little dissapointment.

     "Aww come on. It will still be fun." Nick said as he raised Eva's chin with his hand so she would look at him. Eva smiled, but then she realized Nick's hand was propping her chin up and she moved it away with a little blush.

     "Soo, when do we start?" Eva asked Nick.

     "Right about.. now." He said. Then his eyes changed to glowing white. Eva was still learning to control that feature on command but nevertheless, she was able to flicker it on by the time she looked where Nick had turned. In front of them, was Brian. He had his full Titanium Ash armor on and a rather sharp looking Titanium Ash sword. Eva cowered back a little, remembering back when she first met him. But Nick put his hand on her shoulder to let her know that everything was okay. "We got this." Nick smiled at Eva. She put on a brave face, smiling back, and they both drew diamond swords. Time for the battle to begain.
