Then everything suddenly snapped, she didn't even know how, but something changed. Her mind suddenly felt clear, like she was released from an internal struggle she didn't even know was there. She no longer was worried about making amdecision. Instead, she was worried about something else, a horrible feeling creeping up Eva's spine. Then, she noticed Nick. He was fading, his whole being already see through like a ghost. Nothing else around them looked ghostly or see through however.
"N- Nick? What's happening?." Eva looked at him wide eyed. He only smiled kindly at her, like an old friend.
"I knew you needed the company." Was all he said, before completely fading out of existance, as if he were never there. Eva looked around frantically, not exactly for the person who had just vanished though. Something was missing, it was the exact same feeling she had felt all along, but she had just then realized it's presence. Or it's non presence.
Those helicopters kept flying around her quietly, not even seeming to notice one of the two most deadly threats, was gone. Completely!
"Mam, have you made your decision yet?" A person on a microphone riding one of the helicopters shouted over the rotors. Suddenly she perked up with a look on her face that had always been there, she had just never noticed it before then.
"Yes, you and the rest of the mortal humans will obey and give up their authority or I will rage war against this planet!" She spat. A part of Eva was shocked by her sudden attitude, however the rest, knew she had been like this the entire time. What even happened?! Was anything from before even real?
Eva then flew down in search for some evidence of any kind. On the top of the nearest building, was still the now dead armored Brian, with Eva's diamond blade still sticking up from his chest. He was real. So what about Nick and everything else? Eva knew, but also didn't know, at the same time.
The mirror, her mother, that fight, those guards, the mirror... It had all been fake. Nick, he, he was fake.
That first time seeing her eyes like that in the bathroom, she had escaped on her own.
That night when she talked to Nick about her pain and he held her, she sobbed by herself.
That day of fun her and Nick had playing chess, she played against herself.
That time she entered Minecraft and almost died, she saved herself.
That air bubble, she had made using her own newly found power.
That sad back story Nick told her about his past, it was a nightmare she had had when she was only a child. A young, innocent, child.
That dream Nick woke her from, she woke on her own.
And that dream, the one Nick had come up with, was entirely her own.
Eva suddenly felt all alone. Eva, suddenly was all alone. She knew all along, but had hoped it were at least a little true. But there was one thing wrong for sure. She hadn't made herself fully realize her imagination was simply that. There was another, still out there. Another, with powers that might combat her own. Was it Nick?! Was he actually real?!
"I'm afraid not little girl." A deep, terrifying, voice hovered to her like the being only a few feet away from her, who had just, appeared, out of nowhere. Eva quickly turned, fear in every inch of her. She was met with the presence of over a million souls all filled with hate and jelloucy. The single pare of glowing white eyes which somehow contained all those minds stared directly into Eva's. Eva didn't even question the blocky shape of this man, all thoughts that existed in her mind: '..run.'
But she couldn't. But she didn't. And she never did. Eva, was doomed the moment she turned around. And she would lose the only thing she had left.
This is truly, the worst ending.
Yet, it is the only one that really happened.[The End]
