Zombie Survival Group- Secrets: Part 9

~Adeline's P.O.V~

We honestly stay here for days, because nothing happened and it was calming. We all knew we had to leave though because anything could happen. So we started packing and heading out as soon as we could. As we were walking I tripped over a rock and it spilled the contents of my backpack all over the floor. Poppy and Serenity looked at the contents with wide eyes. "How did you get all of that medicine!?" Poppy shouted silently. I sighed and collected all the medicine and put it back in the bag. "Well, before all of this hit the fan, my dad was a doctor and my mom was a nurse. So when the apocalypse started, I decided to raid the hospital and grab as many meds as I could." I said slowly. "So you never had to use them?" Serenity asked surprised. I shook my head. "I used one or two of them because I got sick a lot." I sighed. I zipped my backpack back up and rested it on my shoulders. "We should continue, it's getting late again." I reminded them. We kept walking until we found a resting place. "Look over there!" Serenity called out. We rushed over and saw a small shack that looked rickety and abandoned. I sighed and shrugged. "Better than nothing." I pointed out. They agreed and we headed towards the shack. We got our weapons out and checked the entire shack, just in case. I got upstairs and the girls got the downstairs area. I stepped into a room and looked around. 'Looks clear.' I thought and went to head for the door, just as something grabbed my leg. I screamed and it bit my leg. I screamed louder and stabbed it. I breathed and wrapped up my leg before they could see it. I quickly removed my backpack and unzipped it so I could find the medicine. 'Come on! Come on! Zombrex has gotta be here somewhere!!!!' I screamed in my head. I had nothing to help it. I was going to die if I didn't get medicine soon. I decided I wouldn't let my team freak out about it so I kept it a secret. They will kill me over this, but it's better if they don't know. Poppy and Serenity slammed open the door and saw the zombie lying dead on the ground. Poppy stabbed it once more, just to be sure. "Are you okay!? Did you get bitten!?" Serenity freaked out. "I'm fine and no I didn't get bit." I said sighing. "Alright, we should rest for now. We had a rough day today." Poppy breathed out. I agreed and we all headed downstairs. We got our things for sleeping out, we fed Lyric and Puppy-Chan and headed to sleep. I was taking first watch and what I decided I would do would be to distance myself from the girls and try to be a little more quiet. I can't tell them yet, not now. I know I won't make it in the end if I don't get medicine, but if we do find Zombrex, I'll be the first one to grab it.
