Zombie Survival Group- Fighting for our Lives: Part 6

Adeline's P.O.V:

We continued our path through the graveyard and got pretty far away from it. Luckily we did because I had a huge fear of them too. Of course I knew the outcome of passing a graveyard because we heard zombie moans behind us. Puppy-Chan started barking a lot and it drew a lot more attention then we wanted. We were about to run away, until the zombies surrounded us. "Looks like we gotta fight." I said. We drew out our weapons and got ready to fight the horde of zombies. We shot, stabbed or practically smashed the zombies up. I sighed of relief once the waves of zombies stopped coming and we were now safe from harm, for now. We continued walking north down the path, avoiding any fog that still remained.  "Hey guys! Come look at this!" Poppy called us over. We walked over to Poppy and she pointed out a flame in the distance. It didn't look like a forest fire so we knew someone must have laid out a camp there. "Let's get there soon, but stay low once we do. We don't want unwanted attention." Serenity said, leading the way. We nodded in agreement as we followed Serenity. We got to the camp in a mere 2 days, since the camp was pretty far from our path. Poppy was the lookout and she saw no one in the camp or around it. Just to make sure, we stayed low and checked around with our weapons drawn in our hands. Nothing, not even a single thing looked out of the ordinary. 'Must have left the camp in a hurry.' I thought. "Well, I think it's safe enough to stay the night. Only thing is, i'm starving and there is no food around." I sighed, sitting on one of the rags left around. "Yea, well there are animals around." Serenity suggested. I considered it and decided 'why not' and I went to hunt. I set a couple traps and in no time I caught some food. "I'm baaaack~" I sang. They laughed and took their pick of food. We ate and sat around the campfire until we fell asleep. "I miss my old life. Where I didn't have to run for my life everyday." I sighed and laughed to myself. "We all do Adeline, but we can't have our lives back. No one can." Poppy said. I nodded and looked up to the sky and studied the stars. I soon fell asleep while Serenity was on watch of the camp.
