Say Our Goodbyes ||11||

My blood mixed in with the drool that fell from the creatures mouth,it's hand still remained on my face.

My breathing had yet to calm down,and Jeff had yet to do anything about this dammed skeleton of a creature ontop of me.

My hands slowly made there way up to the creatures face,I suddenly clawed and scratched at the rough and dark skinned creature.

It wailed in pain,it's skin was now underneath my fingers nails as it's head jerked back,it let out one last growl before clamping down on my arm.

"Ahhh!" I yelled out,I instinctively pulled my arm away,but flesh started to tear from my arm.

More blood stained my clothes and the creatures mouth,once again I cried out from the pain.

"Goddamnit Rake get off her!" Jeff screamed,tears separated from my eyes and rolled down my face.

Glowing strings of yellow firmly wrapped around the creature,he growled as it's grip on my face tightened.
I went to yell not to pull it off,it's hand would hurt my face.But it was too late.

Once it was pulled away,it's claws had left marks across my face,I held my arm against my chest as the creature attempted to get out of the restraints.

While Pup was focused on the creature Jeff ran over to me,throwing his white hoodie onto the ground and taking off his own shirt,he tore it apart and carefully wrapped it around the huge gash in my arm.

I was too focused on the creature in the back,thrashing around on the ground and growling to listen to Jeff's concerns.
He moved my face to his,I finally answered one of his many questions.

"I don't know,I just.." I spaced out again,I didn't finish my answer.

"Hey come on,focus alright?" Jeff said,his hand left my face and he went to grab his hoodie.

"Shit,Y/n move!"

I turned my head slighty,only to see the creature jumping at me,I gasped.
Everything seemed to happen in slowmo as I reached behind me and grabbed a big rock,I took it and before the creature could touch me I threw it against it's face.
It cried out as it fell back,Jeff stood in front of me.

"Good aim." Jeff mumbled.

Jeff grabbed my right hand and pulled me towards the car,I kept looking back to make sure the creature wasn't after us.

How are we supposed to get away when we don't have gas?..

We ran past the car,and down the unfamiliar path.The pain was unbearable,but I had to get used to me,I can't let it slow me down,that thing will kill us.

"Do you think Pup will slow it down?" I asked between pants.

"I hope so,considering we're running we need all the help we can get." Jeff responded.

I nodded.

What if it kills Pup,I mean,karma,but still.
I wonder if theres basically a war going on,there seems to be two sides of their own world.

But,why are there two sides? A side where they allow humans and another side who doesn't?
Does that even make sense?

But both sides kill humans right?

I have so many questions,but theres a right time to ask them,right now is not the best time.

I didn't want to touch my face because of the cuts,but it itched so badly that I was so tempted to do it.

"How far is the gas station again?" I asked,I wanted to stop running.

"Let's see..if we keep running but have short breaks in between,then we'll probably be there around 1 or 2 in the morning."
It's gonna be hard knowing the time,but I'm sure we'll eventually get there.

"So,we're just go there...and then what? We don't have the car anymore.." I said,he paused for a moment before saying.

"We are gonna have to steal a car then."

"W-what do you mean 'we',I don't wanna steal a car!" I said,I'm not willing to steal a car and possibly be arrested.

"If we get a car,you'll be able to see jack sooner!" He gave my hand a rough tug,we picked up our pace.

A drop of water ran down my face,I gasped and wiped it away.I looked up at the sky and noticed alot of dark grey clouds surrounding the whole sky,I hadn't even noticed the temperature change.

What a bad time to have a storm.

"Jeff it's starting to rain!" I said,he also looked up at the sky and sighed deeply.

We both stopped,catching our breath along with looking at our surroundings.It started to pour,I wish I had grabbed my hoodie instead of my jacket,this was a thin jacket.

I rubbed my arms to keep warm as the rain poured more and more,the blood on my face was watered down from the rain.My eyebrows furrowed,the cuts began to sting again.

"Man,he got you good didn't he?" Jeff pulled my face to meet his,he examined the fresh claw marks.

The cuts went from my jaw to over my nose a bit,it overlapped my other scar I got from Jack.My eyes met his,I never asked why his eyes turned grey,but it looked kinda cool.
I mean the eye that had the scar on it hadn't change color alot.

He suddenly coughed and scratched the back of his neck.

"How's your arm,I know it must hurt right now,sorry if the shirt doesn't last long." He said,eyeing my arm.

I lifted it up and said.
"It still kinda hurts but I'm sure it'll go away soon,and thank you for that by the way."

I smiled a bit and shoved a piece of stray hair behind my ear,my hair was turned into wet strands now,the rain is getting annoying.

"I'm sorry I couldn't get Rake off of you sooner,I didn't know what to do." Jeff admitted.

"It's okay,I mean I probably would've done the same thing,that thing is really scary,it gives me anxiety just thinking about it."

He chuckled,I chuckled after him.

"We should get back to running,when we get the car we can take naps again." He said,grabbing my hand and we started running again..

I stared down at Jeff's hand which was held tightly onto mine.

Sorry for the long wait! I hope you people aren't getting bored with this story! It gets alot better,just a few more chapters and something big will happen! I have almost everything planned!
