Jeff. P.O.V

My fingers ran through her strands of h/c as I layed next to her,she was asleep right now after crying for what seemed like forever.

I knew I got out of control a bit,but it's hard to be what she calls normal around a human for so long.I guess Jack took it more roughly,I still can't believe he would hurt her and treat her the way he did.

I never knew how sadistic he could be until I saw what he did to Y/n,I know I'm a murderer but it still makes me upset to know that Y/n would rather him than me.
Jack treats her so badly,at times he might be nice but not always like he should be.

Y/n slurred and mumbled in her sleep as she dug her face deeper into my chest,I sighed as I placed my hand back ontop of her head and pulled more blankets on her.

I was actually nervous to go to bed,I was afraid someone would break in or something and would hurt Y/n.

I didn't bother to notice the sun peeking through the window a little,we were currently laying on the couch,I wantedgo to go bring Y/n to her bed but she already fell asleep on the couch and I didn't want to wake her up.

Y/n P.O.V

My eyes fluttered open,I smelled that familiar bland smell of Jeff's hoodie and felt the soft fabric of it against my face.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes,they felt itchy.

"Hey,you're up." I heard Jeff mumble,I got up from the couch and stretched out my arms over my head.

"Toby has hot water,you can take a shower or a bath if you want." Jeff said,I nodded and replied.

"A shower sounds good,I'll be sure to thank Toby when he comes back." Jeff pointed to the direction of the bathroom,I looked through the closets and found towels neatly placed along with shampoo and conditioner bottles.

"Wow,didn't know Toby was this neat." I noticed the bottles were organized by size,there weren't many bottles but enough to have for a few months.

So I grabbed two bottles and made sure I remember to put them back where they were so Toby wouldn't get mad.

I turned the knob for the shower and turned all the way to the red mark,I waited for a few seconds before stem started to radiate off the water.

Jeff. P.O.V

I was in the kitchen,cooking some eggs while Y/n was in the shower.I somehow feel bad for last night,did I scare her? I hope I didn't too badly,I wonder if she was just overwhelmed.

The eggs sizzled as I moved the pan back and forth,I was so fixated on Y/n I hardly even noticed Toby will be back tomorrow,which means we have to leave again.

I should've put her in her bed last night,I wonder if she was uncomfortable on the couch.

I snapped out of my gaze and turned the stove off,placed the pan onto another burner and reached for the cabinet.I grabbed two plates and placed them onto the counter,sliding the two eggs onto the plates before I started to clean the dishes I used.

I heard the bathroom door open,so I said.

"Breakfast is on the table if you're hungry,I know it's not much but you can have some fruit if you're still hungry."

Y/n. P.O.V

my thoughts still remained on Jeff's outburst from last night, he wasn't abusive at all, he just seemed possessive, yet he still tried to comfort me while I was upset.

"You okay?" Jeff asked,sitting down at the table.

"I uh,I just have alot on my mind." I muttered,hesitantly walking to the table and pulling out a chair to sit in.

"Hey! So I-" I flinched at the sudden change of voice,I knew he was being happy and cheery but my mind thought he was gonna yell at me.

"Y/n,what is up with you?" He asked,putting down the fork that was in his hand.

"Last night I just got kinda scared from you,and I'm still nervous because Jack was almost the same way." I said,I could feel my legs shaking underneath the table,I tried crossing my legs but they still shook uncontrollably.

"Y/n look, I know what happened last night made you nervous but I would never ever hurt you like he did okay?" His eyebrows furrowed with emotion as I lifted my head up to see him more,he looked serious.

"But Jack said-" he once again interrupted me.

"Y/n I'm not Jack okay, him and I are different in so many ways. I know I can lose control but I wont ever go too far, and if I do I'll notice it and break from it." He stated,I nodded and looked at my food in front of me.

I picked up the fork and stabbed it into the egg,I was feeling frustrated. I once again felt that click inside of me,I focused on the fork repeatedly stabbing the egg slowly over and over again.

"Y/n?"

Images of knifes danced around in my head,blood splattered everywhere,while screaming was heard.

I chuckled.
"Yes?" I asked Jeff,I looked up at him,that click was gone and I felt like throwing up.

"Um,if you don't like eggs you could've told me haha." Jeff points to my plate,a variety of egg pieces were spread around on my plate,showing obvious stab holes in them.

"Oh no I like eggs,I just,got distracted that's all." Jeff seemed suspicious throughout the whole day,he payed extra close attention to me even if I was sleeping.

He had reminded me to thank Toby when he got home,I of course did. But what got me on edge was when Toby quickly opened the door and shut it in a panick,he seemed jittery and shakey,his face was covered in bruises and cuts.

Jeff asked what happened but he was ignored,Toby quickly explained to Jeff were Jack should be and gave us a small list of directions we should follow.

We were placed inside of that damn car again,it felt so cramped and suffocating now.

"Sorry that happened,I don't know what's wrong with him." Jeff apologized,I hummed in response.

"Wanna go get some more food,I'm sure theres a small place around here somewhere." Jeff said,I nodded and continued to focus my attention out the window,there was nothing to look at yet I was so fascinated by the trees.

"You alright?" He asked.

I sighed, and replied.
"I never got to thank him,and what if we never find Jack?" I held onto that small piece of paper,it held various names of places we had to go to.

"Toby said he's gonna be at,at least one of these." Jeff explained,I nodded and folded the paper and shoved in into Jeff's hoodie pocket.

Sitting back down in my spot,I held my face in my hands as I began to daydream until we reached somewhere.
