Jeff's P.O.V

Her eyes fluttered opened,she let out a long yawn while stretching her arms out,she scratched her head and looked at me with her bright e/c orbs.

I glanced away.

"Did you sleep at all?" Her soft voice asked me,I cleared my throat and said.

"Yeah,I got a few hours of sleep." My eyes  narrowed down to my dirtied shoes,I pretended to examine it.

"Are you feeling okay?" She asked,I picked my head up and looked outside,my eyebrows furrowed and my teeth chattered a bit..

I was shaking.

She took notice to this.

"Jeff,are alright you're shaking!" She leaned over to me,and grabbed my arm,my head jerked to her attention.She looked so concerned,I couldn't help but get nervous.

"I..I-I uh,I need to go pee!" I shouted,she flinched back and a sour expression plastered her face.

"For a guy you pee alot!" She said back,I chuckled and got out of the car.

I nervously waddled into the woods and backed myself into a tree,I clenched my hands.

God I hate this..

Your P.O.V

That was weird,why is Jeff acting like this?..

Did I do something?

I sniffed myself.
"I don't smell weird do I?"

I ran my fingers through my hair,getting most of the knots out.
I glanced out the window and saw Jeff coming back,once he opened the door I said something.

"You're acting weird."

He froze,I could only see the bottom half of his body,but he got stiff.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He stated,sitting down in the car.

I looked at him again,I crossed my arms.I gave him a death glare,sweat fell from the side of his head.

His grey eyes looked so misty,even his pupils were grey,but a dark grey.It looked hypnotizing.

"Y-Y/n look I-"
He started.

I interrupted him.
"Are you scared of me?"

"Wait what?" He said.

"Do I smell?" I asked again.

"N-no l-"

"Am I ugly?" I asked once more.

"No y/n listen to me!" Jeff yelled,grabbing my shoulders and pulling and pushing me back and forth.

"Okay okay stop!" I said,he stopped and sighed.

"There's nothing wrong with you,okay?" Jeff said calmly and soft,I nodded and raised an eyebrow.

"Okay,well,why are you acting weird?" I asked.

He hesitated to talk,it looked like he was struggling to find his words.
My hands traveled to his face,and he immediately flinched while looking scared.
I let the back of my hand touch his forehead.

"Your face feels really hot,are you sure you don't have a fever?" I asked,taking my hand away.

"I'm sure I'm fine.." he mumbled.

"We better get back on the road."
He started up the car.

I buckled myself in and turned on the radio,a familiar tune played through the radio,the same tune that played before Jack and I went to the candy store.

Jack likes this song.

"Hey,this is Jack's favorite song." Jeff announced.

"I didn't know Jack had a favorite song." I said,smiling a bit.

"Yeah,he's not big with music." He stated,I nodded.

I bounced in my seat a little,humming the upbeat happy song,I never heard the lyrics but it made me feel warm inside.

'I don't care if you leave.'

'I'll love you the same.'

'You're so special to me.'

'I can't help it baby.'

My smile got even wider,I started giggling a bit,it got Jeff's attention.

"What are you giggling about?" His chuckled a bit while saying that.

"This song reminds me of Jack,and I'm sure this song reminds Jack of me." I said.

Jeff's P.O.V

She really loves him doesn't she.

She's so jittery and happy right now,all because of this song.My hands wanted to change the song,it made me feel weird just listening to it.

She started singing along to it,but very softly and quietly,I don't think she knew I could hear her,but I enjoyed it.

I didn't mind the music anymore,all I did was focus on her voice.
But eventually she stopped,and so I glanced back at her,damn..
She fell back asleep again.

Why is she so constantly tired? Is she sick?

Remembering her touch gave me butterflies,her skin was so soft,it was weird.
Did she mean to do that,does she know?
Well I can't ask her without telling her,and if she doesn't know then she'll know and then that'll go badly.

That was a long thought..

I let out a long sigh,only a day or two until we should reach Toby's house,then he should give us some good information about Jack.

She's gonna be so happy when she finds him again,Jack will be so thankful I brought her back in once piece,once more I glanced at her,the cut across her face had gotten a bit red,I hope it doesn't get infected.

My hand trembled as I tried to focus on the road again,I wanted to keep looking at her to make sure she's breathing,anytime I'd look away,the nervous feeling of anxiety creeps up on me.

What is this feeling..

And why is it controlling me..

I gulped hard,and I slowed down the car, I parked along the road and waited a few seconds before getting out,I locked the doors behind me and walked out to behind some trees,I held my head in my hands and tried getting my mind off of it.

I heard water running,so I slowly peaked my head up and tried to follow the sound,my steps got faster and faster until I reached a big river,it wasn't going fast.

This is perfect.

I ran back to the car and opened Y/n's door.

"Hey y/n,I know you haven't showed in a awhile,I found a river a few minutes away from here." I said,her eyes slowly opened and a smile formed on her face.

"Really? Jeff that's fantastic!" She got up and stretched before getting out all the way,she followed me to the river.

"This is amazing,I miss water!" She took off her shoes and socks,and jumped into the river.

I sat down on the ground and lightly threw rocks into the river.
