Ch. 3: Shokugeki

Third PoV

Next day, Erina is having a shokugeki with Chankonabe* Society 76th Captain, Kiyoshi Godabayashi. Akio watches and in the crowd everyone is yelling. Akio scrolls through his phone, as Godabayashi tries to insult Erina in some way. Akio knew Erina was going to win, so there's no pont in insulting Erina or anything.

(Chankonabe is a meat and vegetable stew traditionally served to sumo wrestlers.)

Akio's PoV

(Wow, finally on someone's else perspective.)

I hear the crowd cheering. It was super loud that I want them to leave. But I can't do such thing. I scrolled through my messages to see if there's anything new. Sometimes I get requests with Shokugekis, sometimes I accept, sometimes I decline.

"If I win, you will give up the Tenth Seat! I challenge you, Erina Nakiri!" Godabayashi, I think, senpai said to Nee-chan.

"Well then, if I win.... Construction of my new wing will continue as planned. I accept your challenge... Godabayashi-senpai." Nee-chan said slightly smiling.

Nee-chan already knows she's going to win. I continue to look through my messages and then I get a message from someone who wants to do a Shokugeki with me.

'Name: Rin Nakamura
Society: Vietnamese Cuisine'

I only read that part of the message. I'm thinking of accepting this because I have nothing to do. But requesting to do a Shokugeki during Nee-chan's Shokugeki seems a bit rude. I sighed, oh well, I'm just going to kill time and boredom.

I walk to Nee-chan. Even though she's cooking right now, I'll just tell her anyways.

"Nee-chan, is it okay to tell you now?" I ask.

Nee-chan looks at me and nodded, "Tell me quickly."

"I'll be going now, I have a Shokugeki at around this time." I said.

"Okay, have fun but don't have too much fun," Nee-chan said, as she smirks.

I smile back at her, "I'll try, no promises."

I leave and went to where the Shokugeki is being held at. Seems like there were students already there also. I see students entering the building. Honestly, I don't know what the theme would be but I'm guessing it would be Vietnamese food. As I entered the building, someone rushed towards me.

"Excuse me? Are you the Demon Prince? Why'd you accept this Shokugeki? Even though it was last minute, do you have the ingredients you needed? Do you know what the theme is? Why did you accept to do this? Wait.. I think I said that already." A girl reporter, probably from the newspaper club, asked me these questions.

I sweat dropped. "Haha... I think I should be going now.." I try to avoid her but she followed me. "Can you please leave me alone..?" I asked nicely. She stood there and stared at me. It was scary. Why? It was because she followed me and she's staring at me for a very long time.

"Can you go out with me?" The girl asked.

'Go out? What does she even mean? Does she wanna go outside? But I need to hurry.. She's scary though..' I thought looking around trying to find an escape.

"Hey! Akio "-sama"! Hurry here! I'm Rin Nakamura," A boy, so-called Rin Nakamura, said to me from afar. I smile knowing I'm probably saved.

"R-right!" I said walking up to him. When I went to him, he glared at me.

"You got your ingredients? The theme is Vietnamese Cuisine." Nakamura-san said to me.

"Umm... Wait, who are you..?" I asked as I tilted my head a bit. He seemed to get a bit more angrier. I wait for him to tell me who he was.
