Ch. 11: A Dream..

Akio's PoV

"Akio.." A faint voice called.

I look around and see a younger me. His eyes were sparkling. I concentrate more on my surroundings.

"Akio, do you want to learn how to cook?" The same voice asked but it was more clearer.

The younger me nodded and held this person's hand. They both head into the kitchen and the older man gets the utensils and ingredients.

"You want to cook for Erina?" The man asked.

All I did was nod, along with the younger me. Then everything went dark for a moment. I hear cries and yelling. Soon some light came into view. I was in the younger me's perspective.

"Waaaah~" I cried.

"Akio, enough crying. You want to help Erina, don't you? You want her to have your dishes right?" The man said in a cold voice.

I stop crying and sniffed. I nodded quietly. I look at the man's hand, seeing it wait for me to take his hand. Without hesitation, I took his hand and followed him into darkness. Again, everything went dark and the next there was light.

"Erina-sama is great!"

"Erina-sama, would you like to try my dish?"

"Erina-sama, we need to try this."

"May we talk to Erina-sama?"

We were still young and we were at a party. I look at how the adults look at Nee-chan. Everyone was smiling at her, wanting to know about her opinions. Erina-Nee-chan looks at them and tells them her suggestions. But I wasn't involved in any conversations. I wasn't involved with Erina-Nee-chan. I was her shadow and her shadow only. Even when standing next to her, I'm not noticeable. I look down, my hair covering my eyes. Not noticing anything, I hear a man talking to Erina-Nee-chan. But they were far away. And I ignored it. I ignored everything and waited for nothing.

"Come.... Have... Erina-sama..."

I had heard some words from the man. I look over at them and saw the man holding Erina-Nee-chan. My eyes widen and I hurried over there.

'How did I not notice? How did anybody not notice?' I panicked.

Once I got there I look at the man, glaring at him.

"Don't touch Erina-sama so lightly." I glared at the man.

The man chuckled and whispered in my ear, making sure Erina-Nee-chan wouldn't hear.

"You're just a kid. You can't do anything. If you try to stop me again, I'll just take Erina-sama away from you."

I shivered and couldn't move. I stood there and I took a deep breath. I was still scared but I still smiled. The smile wasn't perfect but it was there.

"I can report you now and once I do, you won't be taking anyone precious to me." I try to sound threatening to him.

The man looks at me and growled at me. I helped Erina-Nee-chan's hand out of the man's hand. Then I quickly ran away with her. I looked around, trying to find someone, like an adult.

"Excuse m-"

"Move it kid!"

"Um, Excu-"

"Sorry, I need to go somewhere"

"Hey, sir. I need to tell-"

"I don't need to talk to a kid"

I kept trying, even though Erina-Nee-chan was almost out of breath.
