I walk out of the airport with all my luggage being carried by a boy behind me.
"Miss? Where's your ride?" He asked panting. My bags aren't that heavy. I rolled my eyes and looked around for my name.
"There." I pointed to a man holding up a sign that said 'Carter'
The boy sighed and walked over to the man dressed in a nice expensive suit.
"Carter?" The man asked when we got to him and I nodded. He looked me up and down and I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Problem?" I asked him when he was done scrutinizing me.
"You're Mr. Carter's niece?" He asked with disgust.
"I would assume so. I mean my name is Rose Carter and my uncle's name is Sam Carter. So am I right?" I asked innocently.
"I guess so Ms. Carter. Follow me." He said and walked over to the limo a opened the door and I smirked at him.
He got in and pulled out of the airport. Then we were off.
"Have you ever met your uncle?" He asked when we had been driving for about 2 minutes.
"Um well my housekeeper told me that the last time I saw him was when I was 3 years old, when I couldn't remember." I shrugged and he nodded.
"That explains why you look the way you do now coming over here." He mumbled under his breath but I heard and looked at my appearance.
I had on dark jeans, a tight white t-shirt with a tight black vest on top of it, and some black strappy heels. My hair was up in a messy bun. Through my bun you could see the red highlights popping out.
I think I look fine.
"We're here miss." The man said holding the door open. I got out and let him get all my luggage.
"What's your name?" I figured I couldn't forever call him 'the man'.
"Geoffrey." He said then walked up to the door. Before he got up there though, a boy about my age ran out and asked him for his keys because he had to meet 'Brittany' whoever that is.
I walked into the mansion and got bombarded with hugs.
"Rose I'm so glad you're moving in with us!" Jean, Sam's wife, squealed.
I'm glad to have a start over too.
