After me and Cass got over our crying fest, Jess came back in and asked if we wanted to watch a movie. We both agreed so now we're in his movie room watching Paycheck.

I'm in the middle with Cass on my left and Jess on my right.

Then someone just had to interrupt our peace.

"Jay! Jay! Where are you?!"

"Jake! I'm in the movie room!" Jess yelled and I sighed.

"Do you not like Jake?" Cass snickered from beside me.

"He's arrogant, rude, and obnoxious." I said just as he walked in and when he saw me, he rolled his eyes.

"Are you everywhere that he is?" He scowled and I smiled sweetly.

"Hi Jake, it's nice to see you again. How's life treating you?" I asked and he glared.

"My girlfriend's leaving me for two weeks. For you." He sneered and I chuckled.

"You could come too if you'd like." I said and he huffed.

"I'm not going anywhere with you." I laughed and he looked at me crazy.

"You'll regret it. Who knows, maybe you and Farrah could get closer." I said suggestively and winked. He huffed again and I chuckled.

"I'll come only because I want to be with Farrah and Jay. Not because you asked me too." He said and I shrugged.

"So what's up Jay?" Jess asked him.

"I need to talk to you. And her." He looked over at me and said 'her' with so much venom. It made me laugh.

"What's up?" I asked and he looked over at Cass.

"She's staying." I said firmly and he looked at me with widened eyes.

"Fine. Jay your mom is here and she wants to meet Rose." He said and my eyes widened.

"What? How does she know about Ro?" He said through clenched teeth. I looked at him curiously.

"What's wrong with your mom? I want to meet her." I got up to walk away but Jess pulled me back and looked at me worriedly.

"Ro, this woman is cold-hearted and only cares about image. She doesn't care about others feelings. I'm warning you." I looked at him and nodded then walked off again.

He sighed and followed me. We walked into the living room and I saw a beautiful lady with long black hair and green eyes. She had on a nice dress that made her look professional and classy. When she heard us come in, she looked over and smiled at Jess.

"Jay! I haven't seen you in a while!" She kissed his cheek and he stared at her blankly.

"A mom should never say that to their kid." He said calmly but his voice was dead. No emotion whatsoever.

"Anyways, I guess you're Rose." She looked me up and down and I stood there challenging her.

"You're not what I thought you would be." She sneered and I raised my eyebrow.

"What did you think I would be?" I asked. I'm guessing she didn't know that I was a Carter by the way she was talking to me. I guess I'll have fun with it now.

"I thought you would be rich. Where do you live?" She asked and I smirked.

"She lives-" Jess started but I cut him off.

"No Jess, I got it." I looked at him and he must've seen the look in my eyes because he smirked at me then covered it up with a blank look when he looked at his mother.
