When You See Your Past

"Jess." I groaned.

"Hm." He mumbled.

"Jess." I groaned again.

"Ro." He groaned back.

"Je-"

"Shut up! You two sound like you're having sex! Just shut. Up!" Jake said in the front seat.

That man had called Jess and told him that the audition was cancelled because one of the judges came to the set and got sick and it caused a bunch of chaos.

So we went to a hotel that Sam owns and just parked in the parking lot. Since Jess kept complaining about how he didn't want to drive anymore, Jake said he would take over. My back was cramped and I was tired so I moved to the back seat. Then a few minutes later, Jess joined me.

So now we're both in the back seat with my head on his shoulder and him playing with my fingers.

"I want to go somewhere. Just us two." Jess whispered in my ear. I smiled and nodded. We both got out of the car and walked towards the hotel with Jake repeatedly asking us where we're going.

After a while he gave up and just followed us. We walked up to the reception desk and the lady looked up.
"Rose. What a surprise. The school's old slut." Amber said with a sneer.

Amber was the head cheerleader at my old school. She had always hated me.
"Ah Amber. The biggest bitch out there. You know, you were never satisfied even when you got what you wanted. My best friend and my boyfriend." I felt Jess stiffen when I said boyfriend.
"What are you even doing here?" She sneered again.

"Well since this is my family's hotel chain, I think I'm allowed to come see how it is." A little lie. I was actually going to ask the receptionist to relay a message to Sam but I'll never ask Amber to do that.

"You're lying. It's only a coincidence that your last name is Carter. No one ever mentioned that your uncle was the owner of Carter Corp."

"Who cared who my uncle was? No one. All you people ever cared about was how pretty you were and who your boyfriend and best friend were." I said then looked over at Jess along with Amber and her eyes widened.

"Who's this hot piece of man?" She said seductively. Jess scoffed and chuckled.

"I take it she works for your uncle." He whispered to me. I just shrugged.
"So what's your name?" She purred. Jess put his arm around my shoulders.
"Ro's boyfriend." He said and she glared.

"You call her Ro. She wouldn't even let me call her that!" She exclaimed and Jess glared at her.

"Why would she let you call her that? You guys don't seen like the best of friends to me." He said.

"Well when I was her best friend she would let me call her that." She said matter-of-factly.

"Amber you were never my best friend." I said through clenched teeth.
"Even when she took my boyfriend she acted as if I was the one in the wrong." She said ignoring me.

"Amber shut up." I said and Jess looked at me cautiously.

"Maybe she could tell you how she had sex with my boyfriend too."

"Amber."

"Or how she turned my mother against me."

"Amber shut-"

"Or even how she killed my brother."

"Amber!" I screamed.

"Did she also tell you how she got pregnant by my brother?!" She yelled and I slapped her with tears streaming down my face.

"I am so sick and tired of your shit Amber. What happened between me and your brother was a mistake. You don't know what happened so don't act like you fucking do!" I ran out of the hotel and called Geoff to come get me.
I walked down the street named after
my uncle hoping that no one would try to catch up with me.

A few minutes later Geoff came up and opened the door for me. I walked around and got in without a word.
He looked at me curiously but didn't say anything. We made it to the mansion in a few minutes and I immediately ran up to my room. Of course I cried my eyes out.

I stayed in my room for the next three days until somebody finally stood up to take me out of misery.....
