The Hot Tub

Happens in the Dragons: Race To The Edge (RTTE)

Word count: 900+

Summary: A group of villagers from Berk had discovered a new hot-water-spring in the forest, not far away from the Great Hall. All the villagers decided in unison to make it into a big hot tub, for the enjoyment of all the inhabitants of Berk.
The process of making a hot tub took them almost 6 weeks, and now it is finally ready for use.

"Hey guys, look what we got this morning" Tuffnut greeted as him and Ruffnut walked into the little Dining Hall on The Edge where the other Vikings were gathered up to eat breakfast. He waved a brown piece of paper around in the air with a gleam of excitement in his blue eyes. The twins had gotten a Terror-mail sent from Berk this morning, and was so eager to get the others' attention to the news.

"The Hot Tub on Berk is now officially open!!" The twins shouted in unison.

"We have to get to Berk as quick as possible, this is gonna be HUGE!" Ruffnut supplied, her eyes were just as excited as her brother's.

The twins started to dance around in circles, hooking their arms at each other while singing some oddly unknown Scandinavian words. They couldn't wait.

"Well, I think we have our plan for today then" Hiccup stated. Hot-tubbing wasn't something they got to do very often these days, so this would be rather relaxing. Also, it is not every day a Viking takes a bath, and it had been some time since last time they all have had a shower...

They cleaned up the table and each went to their huts for some packing of their personal stuff. When they all were done they met outside the staples on the big green landing pad.

"Come on guys, we are wasting the time! Let's go!!" Tuffnut said impatiently. He and Ruff - as the very battle-addicted siblings they were - really wanted to make a water-war in this very hot water.

Fishlegs sighed and everyone sat up on their dragons, prepared for the flight and took off. It would take them some time to get to Berk considering the long distance they had, so to be bored is an easy thing if you don't have anyone to talk with.

And with that said, time went on and conversations died and started again. It was pretty nice to just take a day off for relaxation and to get de-stressed.

As they finally arrived at Berk, the village was almost completely empty, almost entirely quiet. That was a little strange, this was not usual.

They jumped off their dragons and began making their way into the forest. As they went into the forest and got closer, they began to hear laughter and water splashes. This must be why there was so quiet in the village, they were all gathered up here, to enjoy the new hot tub.

As they went further in, the road began to stop and ahead they could see the hot tub and a big portion of the crowd.

This was like a paradise, the hot tub was much bigger than they had imagined. Even though most of the villagers of Berk was in the warm water, having fun, half of the pool was still free. This was a huge hot tub.

The young Vikings all began to run towards the crowd. They couldn't wait to get in.

After undressing all their amour, they all went in. The hot water was so pleasurable, so delightful, perfect for relaxation. But as soon as the twins went in they started to wrestle and to splash at each other.

"I guess relaxation has a different meaning for them" Fishlegs laughed.

Meanwhile, Astrid was headed towards Hiccup. He had to constantly swim or stand still, due to his prosthetic foot, that he had to take off before jumping in.

"So, what do you say? This is pretty cool - eh hot" Astrid said as she approached him from behind.

Hiccup turned around and stood up, having the water level at his belly button. "Yeah this is pretty good," he said as Astrid put her hand on his wet shoulder.

They both smiled at each other. This was so perfect. Hiccup reached out to hold Astrid but stumbled on his one foot, falling down with a big "SLASH".

Astrid couldn't stop laughing as she helped him up. Hiccup sighed and pushed some of his hair away from his eyes as he came back up again. This was a little embarrassing... for him.

"You knew that was gonna happen" he laughed and grabbed Astrid by her waist and pulled her closer.

"Don't worry, I am gonna catch you next time" She teased, she couldn't avoid letting out a small giggled as Hiccup looked at her with narrowed eyes and a smirk, water dripping down his whole body.

"Next time?" He asked confused and laughed, but before he could get an answer, Astrid threw herself forwards, shoving them both into the water.

"Oh, you better be happy that I don't have a second-foot right now" Hiccup laughed as they got back up again. He grabbed Astrid once again and pulled her very close, their foreheads were touching and they both breathed heavily.

Astrid put her hand on his cheek and gave him a deep kiss. Hiccup kissed back, this was just perfect. They just stood there in the middle of the hot tub, soaking wet and had their own moment, completely letting out all the noise from the others enjoying the water.

Only silence...

They pulled apart, having their foreheads touching again. Hiccup gazed Astrid deeply in her eyes.

"I love you, M'lady"
