"To think of yourself as the one to blame, is always a step closer to humility"

The innocent

I jumped out of his car staring around the empty and barren area.

I'm not going to lie, it did cross my mind that he planned on killing me but as I noticed his reluctant face it didn't quite match my accusations.

He got out the car himself before he nodded his head towards the run down building.

I calmly followed him with fear in my eyes.

In the right moment I felt his hand rub my lower back filling me with reassurance and leaving me with abnormal tingling sensations.

In front of the door it had "DOJ" written in bold letters and other graffiti covering it.

"What does it mean" I asked inquisitively.

"You'll find out soon enough" he replied sounding tired of my frequent questions.

He opened the door and left it open for me to choose if I ran now, or still followed.

I lightly stepped in looking around the smokey and very teched up insides.

"Yeah this is where we sell drugs and be little shits" he randomly said making me gasp but realise the repeat of my very own words.

"Look you pissed me off alright? If it hurt you that bad then I'm sorry" I said gesturing my words with my hands.

He chuckled and kept walking around doing these little weird knocks on different parts of the walls.

Before I knew it, the room walls twisted revealing boys that I've seen before.

"Regan?!" One of them said hitting their palm on their head while staring vigorously at Kye.

I stopped and Looked, meeting the eyes of Jackson, Mark, Matthew and Jay.

"Unbelievable" I groaned throwing both my hands up in despair. "Of course all of you are fucking involved. And let me guess, Kye is your dominant leader!" I scowled running my hand through my hair.

Mark gave a smug smile before quickly wiping it away when I gave direct eye contact with him.

"Well I'm hoping Kye said some good things about our profession" Jackson said shrugging his shoulders.

"Profession?" I asked even more shocked.
"Don't tell me you're getting paid for this crap"

"Well it's a good paying job" Jay reassured.

"Look Regan we aren't doing this for fun. We're all doing it for our own reasons" Matthew added, trying to add sense to all this.

I looked at Matthew more deeply, noticing a bruise forming on his cheek. i decided not to ask and kept to myself.

He noticed my stares and looked away hastily.

I sighed and paced around the room frantically.

"Regan cal-" Kye said before I cut him off.

"Shut up" I hissed "I'm thinking"

"Remember who you're talking to" Kye said getting dry and serious toned.

"You May be a 'Boss' to them, but definitely not to me. Did you even ask them if they wanted to join?" I scoffed loosing my temper again.

"Regan I think you're misunderstanding this" Mark said, possibly feeling sympathetic for Kye. "We chose to do this. No one forced us"
