I woke up to aches all over my body. I couldn't help but flick back to when I would wake up with something else broken or sprained.

With yesterday being one hell of a ride I was exhausted like no other. How I was able to make it to school? I didn't know.

Lucy slapped me a couple times, waking me up as I was eating my cereal.

"Did you really revise that much yesterday? You shouldn't push yourself too far" Delmira said while looking at me in concern.

I glanced over at Kye's smug face. That annoying cunt. Of course I'm going to be tired from my first ever mission. There was no reason for him to make such a big deal out of it.

"I just wanted to go over some things I was stuck with. Seems I didn't focus too much on the time" I replied to Delmira while playing with my cereal slowly.

"I wonder how you're gonna be in class" Leo chuckled while washing the plates "Remember you did this to yourself"

I laughed while picking my bowl up to add to his dishes "thanks for the support. Remember I'm the reason you have an extra plate to wash"

"Watch out there mate, you've got a handful right there" Kye said before the rest started tearing up in laughter.

"Haha very funny. Mrs Hemsworth's probably going to scold me for being late so I'll catch you guys there" I said before grabbing the door keys about to head off.

"Want me to drop you?" Kye asked abruptly.

"Uhhh no I wanna take a walk today, thanks" I replied a little taken aback.

I could sense him roll his eyes before biting his lip and saying "then I'll walk with you". He gave me a stern stare and it's was obvious in his tone that he needed to speak to me about something important.

Katy spoke and said "Dude she sounds pretty sure that she wants to walk alone why don't you take the hint"

"No no it's ok he can walk with me" I quickly released. I could tell Kye had to use all his diminished humility to press on like that.

All eyes were on me. They were probably spinning a million questions in their head but no one had to guts to say it. "I'll be off" I said before walking out and slamming the door shut with Kye behind me.

"You just can't take a simple offer can you?" He asked all grinning "You make my life so complicated than it needs to be Marshall"

I raised my eyebrows in disbelief  "Me? Make your life complicated? Imagine the type of things you've done to me!" I chuckled before realising that my wording didn't quite sound correct "Uh I didn't mean it in that way I-"

"Don't sweat it" he smirked "you aren't my type anyways"

Ouch

"Wow that one hurt like a bullet to the heart" I said while putting a strand of hair behind my ear and mimicking myself dying.
