"I've built myself too far to let someone like you bring me back to brick one"

Broken and renewed

I grabbed Sienna's hand and pulled her around to the different stores that laid before her. "Come on don't tell me you don't like some little shopping" I laughed while staring at her frowning face.

"You told me Mark was going to be here, where is he?"

"Ah well he's running a bit late I'm afraid." I answered back watching her get more upset. "Listen I'll tell you what, how about we dress you up and when we do see him he can say what he thinks about your outfit?"

She looked into my eyes looking for any hesitation but there was none. "Hm fine ok ok let's do this shopping" and with that she twirled to the first store she saw, Victoria secret.

-

"Soooo how was it?" Jackson asked while holding Sienna's sleeping self on his back.

"Interesting I guess. She kinda bought me ummm hmmm 'undergarments' " I replied while rubbing the back of my neck.

"She bought you what?" He chucked back in laughter.

"Ok more of forced me to buy it. She's a very persuasive child I gotta say" we both laughed in unison before falling silent with a sigh. "Mark back at yours?"

"Yeahh he's finishing up the job that you helped us with earlier on" Jackson Said before going serious toned and looking my way for a response.

"You're really still going through with it aren't you?" I sighed deeply, combing my fingers through my hair. It seems it's a habit of mine. "I really thought Kye would have changed his mind after I did what he asked"

"Kye is a nice guy and it may seem shocking to say so but on the other hand when he has set his mind on something, he completes it in the worst way possible. Whether that be taking lives or not. He's been that way ever since...ever since....never mind" Jackson weirdly cut off his words and dragged it out of conversation.

"What was you going to say?"
He didn't reply but looked down to his feet.

"In all honesty it's something Kye must tell you himself. I really don't have the right to say anything. Kye is very strict when it comes down to the DOJ. It's like he's a different person. A scary one" Jackson shuddered at the thought.

"Who cares if you get thrown out? Wouldn't it make your life easier?" I asked while pausing in my walk.

He seemed to hesitate, trying to find the right words to explain what was going on inside his head.

"My life's boring. There's nothing there that makes my life matter or spices it up even. I needed that feeling of risk and danger. I don't know what's wrong with me. None of what I do is ideal. And with the amount of people I've taken there lives for. Is it all really worth it?"

I dipped my head keeping my eyes to the ground. I could relate to him in a few ways but I honestly couldn't take in how he was feeling. If anything, it was kind of a psychotic feeling.

All I knew was I was tired of feeling mislead and used. I've been that way my entire life. But if DOJ is what helped Jackson get rid of his problems, maybe it could do the same for me.

It was a massive leap and i knew that from now, it's was going to take all of me to change. "Ok no need to say no more"

"You're not going to report us to the law firm are you?"

"Me? Haha nooo. In fact, I'm going to join you guys" I grinned in a smirk.

"No" Mark said in complete seriousness. "It's not going to happen"
