Spring Equinox

Nothing is as rejuvenating
as the green clip of your step
at the front door.
I am thawed earth awaiting rain,
but you are unseasonable sleet.

If you could see
If only you knew
how easy
it is for you to revive me,

brush of the waist
the softening of your tongue
as sudden as the March pink sky
beckoning April.

If only you could see
how easy
it is for you to love me.
