Betrayal burned sweeter than your arrow head.
It ignited the darkness that clothed you
and brought our love to light.

Son of war,
I burned you on purpose.

I spilled the oil, let the wax drip onto your skin,
and brought you to consciousness.
I burned you to extract truth.
Awake and destroy this shroud of shadow.

And I will gladly descend into hell to prove
you never needed to fear me.
You have slain so many with your keen aim,
but feared your own surrender.

I will champion your tempest heart
and prove myself to be the safest of harbors.
