Too many secrets

Chapter 5

Authors note: trigger warning. Sexual abuse

Kakashi lead you to sit on the bed where he sat next to you. You struggled to get the words out. Where would you even start? Kakashi put your hands in his.

"Take your time." He said softly.

"Well... I am or was the princess of this kingdom. A little over a year ago my father told me to get married. He felt a queen wasn't capable enough at running a kingdom on her own. He insisted that I get married before I tuned 21. So he presented me with a bunch of suitors. There was no law stating that I had to be married before I became queen, so I was not planning on marrying any of the suitors my father set in front of me. And he knew I wasn't." tears started welling up in your eyes. The next part of the story was the hardest for you.

Kakashi wiped the tears away. "You don't have to continue if it's too difficult." You shook your head.

"No, I'm fine." You forced a smile. He pulled you in for a hug. You stayed in his embrace for the rest of the time you told him the story.

"It's okay to cry. It doesn't make you a weak person."

You took a deep breathe before you continued. "One day my father invited Haru to the castle. I saw him as just another suitor. He introduced himself, we spent some time together and I told him and my father he wasn't the one either. My father of course gave me an earful but I wasn't going to hear it. I made my way to my bedroom. I just had to get away from them both. Shortly after I got to my room I heard a knock on the door. It was Haru. At first I thought he was just like all the other princes'. Obnoxious, arrogant, privileged. The more I spoke to him the more I felt he was actually a nice guy." You laughed cruelly. "Then he tried to kiss me, I refused but he wouldn't let up. He then pinned me to the bed and..." You choked, not being able to finish the sentence.

"Did he...?" Kakashi asked as he held you tighter in his grasp. You nodded your head, knowing what he meant.

You cleared your throat before you continued. "Shortly after that happened I found out I was pregnant. I was still traumatized because of what happened and my first instinct was to stab myself in the stomach. I killed the baby and nearly myself. Next thing I knew I woke up in the hospital. My father was livid at me. He told me how he was the one who told Haru to impregnate me because he thought I would do the responsible thing and marry Haru. That very second I renounced my crown. Shortly after I was discharged I left the kingdom and made a new life in the hidden leaf village. And the rest is history." You held onto Kakashi's chest as you finally stopped fighting the tears and left yourself cry.

You felt Kakashi tense up. His knuckles where white because of how tight he was holding his fist. "Wha...what's wrong?" You asked looking at his face, trying to make out his expression.

He got up and made his way to the door without another word. "Kakashi, where are you going?" You were worried, his silence was scaring you.

"I'm going to kill your father and Haru." He said coldly.

"What? No! Kakashi please no!" You pulled him by his arm. He quickly turned to you.

"Do you expect me to do nothing (Y/N)?" He raised his voice which startled you a bit. "I'm sorry if I scared you. But I am not about to let those monsters get away with this."

"Kakashi, no just... wait..." you stood between him and the door. "Can you just... not go anywhere..."You asked softly, embarrassed for sounding so needy.

He took a deep breathe before replying. "Okay, I won't do anything tonight." You gave him an irritated looked. "Or any time soon." You felt there were still a lot of loop holes in that reply but you were satisfied for now.

"Kakashi..." You said looking to the floor, slightly blushing.

"Yes?"

"Would you mind staying a little while longer? At least until I fall asleep?" You still were not able to look at him.

"Sure." He nudged you on the shoulder. "Don't be so nervous." He chuckled which only made you feel worse. "Let me get some clothes from my room, I'll shower in your room if you don't mind." It's as if he read your mind that you didn't want to be alone for too long. You smiled at him before he left.

Soon after he left you felt a hand on your shoulder. "That was quick. I guess you're a jonin for a reason." You turned expecting to see Kakashi but instead you saw Haru. You took a few steps back and stumbled to the floor. "What do you want?" You placed your hand on your kunai before getting up.

"I just came to see you, my beautiful ex fiancé, soon to be current fiancé."

"You're crazy." You took your kunai out and held it in front of you.

"You look so cute." He walked towards you.

"Take one more step and I'll put you in a world of pain." Kakashi said, appearing out of nowhere between you and Haru.

"Oh really." Haru said taking one more step to taunt Kakashi.

You were standing behind him so all you saw was Kakashi lifting his headband off his eye. Haru suddenly fell to the floor screaming in pain. Literally a second later Kakashi covered his eye again. what was the point of that?

Haru slowly lifted his head to look at Kakashi. It looked as if it was the most excruciating thing he'd ever done. He then fainted.

"(Y/N)! Are you okay?" Naruto came running in your room, along with Sakura and Sasuke.

"Yes I'm fine." You hugged Naruto. "I can't say the same about Haru though." You all looked at his unconscious body.

Kakashi threw him over his shoulder.

"What happened to him?" Naruto asked.

"Kakashi..." You completely disregarded Naruto's question.

"Don't worry (Y/N) I won't kill him." Before you could ask anything else he left.

"Hello?" Naruto waved his hand in front of your face.

"Huh... yeah what?" You looked at Naruto.

"What is going on? Why was that guy knocked out in your room?"

"I'd like to know as well." Sasuke chimed in.

"Quit trying to take the spotlight you show off!" Naruto shouted at him.

"Shut up you idiot." They started another argument.

"Could you two please stop fighting." They didn't even look in your direction. "Boys come on please stop." You tried a second time.

"It's hopeless (Y/N)." Sakura placed a hand on your shoulder. You sat on your bed and buried your face in your hands. You were not in the mood for this right now. "(Y/N), are you okay?" Sakura asked sitting next to you. You gave a small nod in response.

"Enough!" You looked up to see Kakashi. "Everyone out." He was angry. If you were being honest this side of Kakashi scared you.

They all stared at him, speechless. "Now!" They quickly left without saying a word. He turned his gaze to you after locking the door. "Are you okay?" His tone was gentler now.

"What did you do with Haru?" You weren't sure if you wanted to hear the answer to that one.

"I dropped him off in the stables." You sighed a breath of relief.

"You didn't answer my question." He looked more serious now. You looked at him confused. "Are you okay?" You nodded. "Okay, I'm going to take a shower then we can talk." You smiled in response.
