chapter 23

it started off as a normal day, clementine came over without johnny. thank god, and everyone's here.

"so, clementine, tell us about your hubby."

"johnny?"

"yes, who else? calum?"

"calum is-"

"just tell us about johnny."

"he's incredibly funny. he's always been a little clumsy and awkward, but i just find that adorable."

"i bet. how'd you meet?"

"he lived 4 houses away from my aunts. one day i went outside to take out the garbage when this kid skateboarded into me and knocked me over. and a couple minutes later someone waa shouting the kid's name and a really tall, thin guy came up to us and helped me up."

"loser."

"turns out, that was hit younger brother and his brother was being rebellious and skateboarding without permission and johnny chased after him. and yeah. after than we just hung out all the time."

"and thennnnnnnn."

"he asked me out."

"and you guys have been together ever since?"

"yeah."

"how cuteeeeee."

"not really haha."

"calum, your thoughts?"

"its great. she's happy, so i'm happy."

"aw thanks cal."

but i actually really wasn't happy. clementine is getting married soon. think about that. it's like getting stabbed in the chest.

later that day when I was walking clementine home, I don't know why but I asked her to go eat breakfast with me in the morning.

"hey clem?"

"yeah?"

"wanna eat breakfast with me tomorrow?"

"sure haha. where?"

"I dont know."

"s-sure."

"great."

we went to an ihop and sat at a booth.

"so calum, any girls in your life?"

"nope."

"why?"

"because."

"cause?"

because you're the only girl in my life right now, i said to myself.

"I don't want a relationship right now."

"oh thats good, stay focused on your career."

"yeah. thats it."

after the food came, clementine told me surprising news.

"um, calum?"

"yeah?"

"me and johnny are getting married next week."

I practically started choking on my breakfast.

"calum! you okay?" she asked while smacking my back.

"y-yeah. next week?!"

"yes, um, johnny wants to make you his best man."

"but I barely know the guy!"

"well he knows alot about you."

"how? we never talked for more than 10 minutes."

"I told him everything about you. he thinks he knows you."

"well I dont know him."

"calum! please do this for me!"

"ugggghh. fine."

"yay!"

"but only because your my bestfriend."

"thanks haha."

so its official. she's getting married. my clementine, is getting married. I wouldn't have a problem with it if it was me marrying her. but since its not, :-(

we're all invited to the wedding. but I dont know if I can make it through.
