**MERLIN'S POV**
I wake up to find myself alone in the room, which hasn't happened the whole time l have been here. I look around and spot Sams back leaning against the window from the outside. This is the first time I have seen Sam since he ran away crying three days ago.
I stare at Sam's back for a while before deciding to turn on the telly. I shuffle uncomfortably searching around the room for the remote and eventually spot it, lying on table in the far corner of the room where Arthur had left it. After Turing to face the blank screen I decide now is not the time to test my strength.
I lie back down and close my eyes, re-preparing to sleep when I hear Arthur shout Sam's name. My eyes burst open again to see what's going on.
When I look back at the window leading into my room, Sam's back is no longer there, he is a further way down the hall as looks as if he has stopped himself from running away.
He spins to face Arthur and as soon as he does Arthur begins yelling at him and he just takes it like a beating he deserves. The 'princes' arms fly about in angry gestures but Sam never interjects or stands up for himself so Arthur just rolls his eyes and continues on into the room. I slam my eyes back shut and pretend to sleep.
"Hello beautiful..." Arthur says, pushing back my hair to plant a sweet kiss on my forehead.
After about five minutes of listening to the football Arthur was watching I act out waking up.
"How long have you been here clotpole?" I ask with an over exaggerated yawn.
"Morning sleeping beauty..." He begins. My curiosity gets the better of me and I cut him off.
"Arthur, is something wrong? It's just you and Sam having acting weird together lately and I get it if you just don't like each other I can't force you but can I at least encourage you to try? Because I love you and he's my best friend and I really want you to get on and I know that will be hard 'coz like your from different eras in time and he doesn't know that so you won't have the same interests but can I please get you to try again because this is really really important to me." I gasp as I finish due to speaking impossibly fast.
"Merlin..." He replies solemnly, "I think there is something you need to know. Please don't hate me..."
"Arthur," I nervously chuckle, " what is it?"
"I- well me..."
"Hi, sorry to interrupt I'm your nurse for today because your other one is off ill I'm just here to check everything is running smoothly." My new nurse says as he enters.
I allow myself to turn and smile at him but not for long because my eyes immediately trace back to Arthur as I frown at him in a confused look.
**Author's notes**
Okay so I accidentally deleted this chapter and needed to re write it but I didn't really remember what happened so I tried as best I could. This isn't very good because I'm ill when I write this and don't have energy... so yeah.
It's very short I know and I'm sorry but...
Until next time...
