*Natalie's POV

"Hot Dog," I whispered.

I heard a small whimper. I stood behind the tree as I tried to hear where it was coming from.

"There you are." I whispered excitedly as I moved to another tree.

He was chained to a small pole all alone in the dark.

It was quiet.... way too quiet.

I held my hands up in the air.

"It's just me!" I called out. I wasn't going to fall for their dumb tricks. "I know you hear me!" I walked closer.

"My god!" I covered my eyes from the blaring light.

"Well look who decided to visit."

"Will you order one of your goons to shut that shit off." I placed my hands over my forehead to shade my eyes.

"Cut it off."

"Thanks." I mumbled.

"So I heard blondie is serpent queen, now." I could see Penny's smirk dancing in the moonlight.

"Listen Peabody I didn't come to chat." I placed my hands in my jacket. "I just came for my dog and I'll go." I shrugged. "Simple as that."

There was rustling in the distance.

It sounded like a car.

"Grab her." I soon felt a pair of hands on me.

"Let's go baby," I could just picture the smirk he had. "We have a lot to discuss." He pushed me to move forward. "You look good by the way." I rolled my eyes as I kept walking forward.

"What the hell is this?" I motioned as I saw the monitor that was showing what was outside, it was directly pointed to where Hot Dog was.

"We knew you guys would be back for your mutt." Penny sat down on the worn out couch. "So pray do tell," she smirked. "Why didn't FP make you leader?"

"I don't know. Why don't you tell me?" I fired back.

"Such a shame he passed up on something with so much potential." Malachai placed his hand on the small of my back.

"Hands off asshole." I shoved him away. He looked at Penny but she simply shrugged.

"Well take a seat," She motioned to the chair in front of her. "We've got some time to kill." She glanced back up at the monitor. "Just until one of those idiots try and do something." She pointed out.

I looked up at the monitor and saw a truck pull up.

It was them.

I looked back at Penny as she just casually drummed her fingers along the arm rest watching me. I exhaled deeply and took the seat.

"Atta' girl." She gave me a wicked smile.

"I'm not siding with you Penny." I informed her. "I'm just here to take Hot Dog without any blood shed."

"And where's the fun in that?" She exclaimed.

I just brushed her off.

"You know there's no harm in wanting to be leader right?"

"What are you trying to get at?"

"All I'm saying is I can make you leader." She sat on the edge of her seat. "Leader of the ghoulies that is."

"And why the hell would I want to do that?"

She stood up from her seat.

"FP humiliated you." She walked closer to me. "You've done everything for those fools." She slowly began to walk around me. "Hell you even took a bullet for one."
