*Natalie's POV

I sat down at the cold metal table. I had earned a few stares as I walked in, a few of them were from ghoulies staring me down, but I didn't pay them any attention. I watched as he casually strolled in from the other side of the room.

"I would have came sooner," I stood up and engulfed him into a hug.

"It's fine." He gave me a squeeze. "I'm just glad to see you."

I looked at the two guards who were looking away.

"Me too." I pulled away from him and sat down. "How are you," I asked him.

"I'm good," he seemed hesitant.

"How's Archie, Joaquin? Did you do what I said?" I eyed him.

"Of course," he answered. "He's not getting any free passes from us," he nodded. "Unless he's earned it." I nodded slowly.

"Okay then. What seems to be the problem then?" I asked confused.

"He didn't shiv a ghoulie," he explained but it seemed like he was holding something back.

"And?"

"They got to him," I let out a heavy breath.

"You were supposed to test him," I hissed at Joaquin. "But you were also supposed to watch out for him."

"It was in the night," he defended. "He was all by himself." I sat there quietly thinking.

"Well next time be there," I snapped.

Joaquin just sighed and nodded.

"I almost forgot," I placed the box I had brought onto the table. "You guys could share it amongst yourselves." I slid the box over to him. He lifted the lid and looked at what's inside.

"Natalie," he breathed out.

I had gotten them a few things. A few essentials, goodies, and some things to kill some time.

"It's just a few things." I waved it off.

"Thank you, they'll appreciate it." I nodded.

He put the lid back on the box and set it right beside him.

"How are things out there?" He folded his hands together.

"Things are..." I looked away from him. "Not as I expected." I brought back my attention to him. "I want to tell you something before you hear it from someone else." He nodded. I looked out into the room and leaned in closer. "Jughead thinks I'm conspiring against the serpents. Has this idea that I'm going to join the ghoulies, which I'm not." I told him.

"Is that why you got us doing this thing with Archie?" He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Yeah," I sighed. "Jughead and Archie are long time buddies but so am I. I grew up with Archie. That and I promised his dad that the serpents got his back. Fred Andrews has done right by the serpents."

"Yeah I heard." Joaquin nodded his head.

"But Jughead needs to be taught a lesson," I clasped my hands together. "So if that means messing with Archie a bit then so be it, but he can't get hurt too badly. Understood?"

"Loud and clear." He responded.

"Good," I nodded satisfied with his answer.

"You know the guys are in here are pretty pissed." I looked at him confused. "With FP making his son leader." I rolled my eyes.

"Well looks like we're in the same boat."

"What about Sweet Pea?"

Word travels fast in this small town.

I looked down at my hands and played with my rings.

"Some of the guys in here want to kick his ass." I couldn't help but laugh.

"Trust me, I do too." We both laughed.

"DeSantos," the guard called out to Joaquin. "Come on, time's up."

"I guess I'll see you soon." I stood up from the table and walked over to him. "You take care of yourself, you hear?" I looked at him. "I don't want that pretty face of yours to get messed up." He laughed and pulled me into a hug. "You take good care of him for me, will ya?" I whispered. "Make sure the ghoulies stay away from him." I ordered.

"Anything for the serpent queen," he joked.

"Oh shut up," I playfully shoved him.

"Alright then," he picked up the box and walked away.

"Oh wait," he turned around. "Tell Slash his family has been covered." He nodded at me and continued to walk away.

I watched as he gave the guard a small nod and kept walking.
