Reading the spell aloud proved to be more time consuming than I'd anticipated but eventually it worked. I became consumed in a mystical dark glimmer that wasn't so much seen as it was felt. I followed the aura down several dimly lit corridors and It led straight down to a stone platform. I blinked in disbelief as the book sat right atop the structure. "There is no way it could be so easy..." I mused to myself. "Release this spellbook. Return it to it's rightful owner, for all of our sakes. You will not win against what's coming." I shouted in an attempt to draw out whoever was hiding. I gripped the book, placing it in my bag. Suddenly, the stone statues released themselves from the wall and lunged for me. I made a run for it, sealing the doorway with a protection spell so that they would stay trapped within those walls. The banging could still be heard once I reached the castle.

Passing a servant outside my chamber door, I sent for Frigga at once. I began to skim through the pages, seeing horrifying spells listed. It held everything from mind control to necromancy. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. As I opened it, I was surprised to find Loki instead of Frigga. I made an attempt to hide the book behind my back but it was a poor one. "Sigyn, what have you been up to?" His voice seemed cold, menacing almost. "It feels like you have been avoiding me." I shook my head, taking note of how dreary his demeanor was. He looked as though he hadn't slept a wink in quite some time. "I've just been a bit busy with the wedding, that's all." Fear began to fill my throat as he stepped closer. "Or taking things that you have no business having?" Loki filled the gap between us and crashed his lips into mine. Pulling away, he whispered almost sadly. "It's okay, I forgive you." Without warning, he then twisted my arm, taking the book from my grip and holding me at a painful angle. "You have to give it back!" I pleaded. "Or all of Asgard will suffer." He just laughed. "Don't you get it? I'm doing this for Asgard. With this book, we will be more powerful than ever before." I bit my lip, not understanding how he could be so dense. "But at what cost?" He simply shrugged. "We shall see."
