Waking up in bed with Loki the morning after was strange. I had never felt closer to him yet also so far away. I nudged him and once he didn't budge, I decided to take this time to snoop around. Half of his things were mine now, after all. I pulled a drawer open to find the Darkhold. When I reached out to touch it, a forceful wind blew me backwards. Loki groggily awoke as my back connected with the floor. "You're so cute." He teased, prompting me to frustratedly storm out.

I found myself later having tea with Frigga. Though I assumed that she would be disappointed in me, she stated that she rather liked the idea of Loki and I. "I can tell by the way you have always looked at each other that you care deeply for one another. That is, after all, the first step towards love." I thought to argue but the logic was sound. "He's not a bad person, he just needs to be guided in the right direction." She added, as if she could read my thoughts.

Once I returned to loki, he was deep in his studies of the Darkhold. I had decided to take Frigga's advice and attempt to guide him. In order to do that, though, I had to earn his trust. "Mind if I watch?" I treaded lightly, taking a seat beside him. He was so entranced in the spell that he made no acknowledgment of me. He held a dead rat in his palm, whispering incantations as he twisted his fingers. Closing it in his hand, I could hear a squeak and once he opened it back up, the rat limped onto the carpet. I felt sick, but refused to show my disgust. It would get me nowhere. "I've been looking at a vampiric transmutation spell, but I cannot perform it on myself. Perhaps you would do me the honors?" I didn't dare to respond but the look on my face must have been enough. "That's alright, Sigyn. It seems to be a bit of an upkeep anyway."

The longer I was around the book, the more I found it's hold ensnaring me. I began to take interest in spells with Loki. Little by little, I became more involved in his studies though I never used the spells myself. I think that's what kept me from going over the edge as Loki had. Besides, it's hold only seemed to have me when I was in the book's presence.
