Here's a oneshot ;)

It was a regular day at the lair : Raphael punching the dummy, Michaelangelo watching TV, Leonardo meditating with Splinter in the dojo and Donatello, as always, in his lab. Sadly April had been sick for the past two days and couldn't come.

You became really good friends with the turtles after April introduced you to them.

How did it happened you ask ?

April, unlike the rest of students, was the first one to take notice of your condition and thus, the first one to become your friend.

As the good person she is, some timel later she brought you a gift : a new and fully functional hearing aid.

Coming from a low-class family, your parents couldn't pay you a new one. Yet, they worked hard to spare the needed sum.

Because of that you couldn't hear well what people would tell you and it somehow made you feel slightly insecure. After some time you started isolating yourself from the rest of students.

That's when April came in. She started befriending you and as the friendship grew you finally decided to tell her about your problem.

That's when she brought the said gift to you.

It was perfect, you could hear well again. Enjoying the sounds of life once more.

When she told you a friend of hers made it, you insisted on meeting the creator but she told you it couldn't be done. No matter how many times you would ask her, the answer would still be the same.

And of course, curiosity got the best of you.

After catching her on her phone, talking to someone about how thankful you were for the gift you decided to investigate yourself.

And so, one day you ended up following her underground, in the sewers, all the way to their hiding spot. And as soon as you saw those humanized turtles you couldn't help but stay still, trying to process such information.

"April, is it one of them?"

She stayed silent at first but then replied with a simple 'yes'

"Which one ?"

She took your hand and led you in front of the tallest turtle. "It's him. He's the one who made you your hearing aid. And is name is Donatello"

You looked at him right in the eyes. "Donatello, huh?"

Took his hands in yours, bowed to him and said :

"Thank you. You did me and my parents a great favor. Is there any way I can repay you?"

Smiling, he said : "don't tell anyone what you've seen today, okay?"

You nodded.

At last, you had thanked the creator. At this thought, you smiled.

You would personally go visit Donatello whenever you needed a readjustment or a repair.

Slowly, it became an habit for you to go to the lair, after April had invited you to hang out with her and the turtles. Donatello even gave you your own T-phone.

And, as time went by, you found yourself falling for the tall genius.

Little did you know, said Genius reciprocated your feelings.

You had come to the lab after Donnie sent you a simple yet strange message :

*I need you to come over. Now. And take out your hearing aid before entering the lab.*

Which you did.

There he was, sitting at his table, reading a book. Closing it immediately as soon as you entered and making you stand in front of him. He looked nervous.

And that's when this supposedly regular day turned into one of the most memorable days of your life :

' I love you. Be my girlfriend?'

He did not say it. He didn't move his lips. No sounds came from him.

Instead, he used sign language. You reciprocated.

'Yes please'

That's when his whole body relaxed.

"You could have just said it, you know?" You said, slightly laughing.

"I don't think it would have been the same"

His face suddenly turned a deep shade of red. Looking behind you, you saw his brothers, Splinter and April grinning like idiots at the two of you.

You grabbed Don's face and kissed him.

Silence filled the room. You were now the only one grinning like a idiot.
