Tom Riddle Era: Faline Potter

Tom's POV

I enter the library and look around. I spot just the girl I was looking for. "Hello Hutchinson" I say as I sit down. "I need a favor" I tell her smiling.

"I'm kind of busy Riddle" she tells me as she continues to study behind her pail of books.

"I don't care, I need you to borrow something for me" I tell her.

"Fine, but then will you leave me alone?" she asks me.

"Yes, now surely you've heard of the new girl" I state.

"Red hair, hazel eyes every guy fawning over her? Nope haven't heard of hear" she tells me smirking. "So a girl has finally caught your eye Riddle, or will she end up petrified like all the others?" she asks me sweetly.

"She's different, she borrowed a love book from the library. I need you to take it and give it to me" I tell her. She frowns in confusion.

"I know the book you speak of, but why would you be interested in that? You don't do love Riddle" she tells me.

"Just get it" I tell her and leave.

Ruby's POV

I sigh rubbing my temples after Tom left. Why is he infatuated by this girl? Why did he want to true love book? Oh well. It's not my job to ask questions. Besides he'll never return my feelings. I know because I did the test on him and the sparks were red. But there is another guy I have my eye on. Hopefully he'll be the one. I packed my things up and start my search for Potter.

Teresa's POV

I'm reading while walking around the school and accidentally bump into someone. Making them drop their books. "Oh my, I am so sorry" I say as I bend down to help her collect her books. "I'm Teresa" I say smiling.

"Ru-u-by" she stutters pushing up her black framed classes. I notice she had black curly hair with green tips. Also that she is a Ravenclaw prefect.

"Sorry about that again" I tell her smiling gently. "I love your hair" I add.

"Oh, ye-es" she says stroking it shyly. "I ddd-doo-oo it my-sel-f" she stutters.

"Maybe you could show me how to do that" I tell her.

"What? Change your hair color?" she asks more relaxed. I nod my head and she looks at my hair thoughtfully. "What about blood red with black strikes?" she suggests.

"Maybe, do you need help with those?" I ask her. Noticing the ten books she is carrying.

"Oh I was just returning them to the library" she states.

"Come on let me take some of those" I say taking five of them. Making it so that I carry six books now.

"So what were you reading?" she asks me as we start to head for the library.

"A book I borrowed yesterday, do you believe in love?" I ask her curious.

"I guess so, though I've never found it" she says shrugging. "Um now that you mention it, I tried to borrow a book yesterday on finding love. But Mr Robert said it had already been borrowed" she states.

"Oh yeah, that was me" I tell her sheepishly.

"Can I borrow it? I need it for a Potions essay on why potions can't simulate real love" she explains.

"Sure, I finished reading what I wanted to read anyway" I tell her. It's true I had skimmed through the book and took notes on what I thought was important. The pros and cons of true love. Other signs of true love aside from the test. In fact I was rereading the true love test when I bumped into her.

"Oh thank you, if you ever need help with Potions I can help. Or Hector can help you" she tells me.

"I've meet Hector, he seems to love potion making" I state.

"He does, we've been competing in potions since first year" she says smiling. "He is one of my only true friends. As you noticed when we meet, I'm shy around new people" she states.

"That's fine, maybe the three of us can study together sometime" I tell her. She nods her head in agreement. We reached the library and returned the books. She then borrowed the True Love book after I returned it. "See you around" I say and leave for the common room.

Ruby's POV

That was easier then I thought it would be and she seems nice. Why to good and pure for Riddle. I won't let him poison her innocent soul. I head for the dungeon where he wait leaning against the wall for me. I shove the book into his arms. "Here, be sure to return it to me when you're done" I tell him before leaving.

Tom's POV

I look at the book Hutchinson had given me. I opened it read the contents page and became intrigued. I go to my private dorm and start to read the book.
