Forest and Tom's Test

Teresa's POV

As it's Saturday and I have no plans. I decide to go run in the forest in my doe form. As I haven't changed once since coming here and wanted to feel the freedom of running through the forest. So I sneak out of the castle losing Tom's stalking friends and ran into the forest. Once there I turn into a doe.

I notice my fur is redder then before. But otherwise I appear to be the same. I took off galloping into the forest. The wind in my fur felt great and I soon reach a stream and take a drink.

I hear a twig snap across the stream and look up. I notice a blonde haired three year old boy hiding behind a bush. But something seemed off about him, he looked taller then he should be. I approach him slowly going to cross the stream.

"No, don't!" he shouts. But it was to late my ankle gets caught in a snare. Sticks start to bang together as I rear up trying to free myself. I freeze when I see his horse body. He's a centaur that explained his abnormal height. A small hand patting my neck broke me from my thoughts. I look down to see the centaur foal petting me. "You have such soft fur" he compliments me.

Just then a grown centaur appears bow raised. But he lowers it when he sees the foal in front of me. "Firenze, move away from the doe" he tells the boy. I look at the boy shocked, this is Firenze? The same one who saves my brother in future, he's so young.

"But dad, she's trapped" Firenze whines. "She friend" he adds smiling up at me.

"Son she is a doe, there are many more like her" the adult tells him.

"No, she's different" Firenze protests. "If you free her, she can show you" he adds.

"Fine" the adults sighs and removes the snare. I back up a little and turn human.

"You're witch" Firenze exclaims excitedly clapping his hands. "I knew you were special" he says hugging my waist.

"Thank you, young Firenze" I say smiling. "I am sorry for the intrusion sir, I am new to the school and did not know you lived in the forest" I partly lie.

"It is fine, it is rare to see an animagus around here" he tells me. "I am Borias" he adds.

"Teresa" I say smiling.

"Can I show her around dad?" Firenze asks while tugging on my hand.

"It's fine, I don't want to be a bother" I tell them.

"No it's fine, my son enjoys meeting new people" Borias says with a smile. "Come son, lets show her the unicorn herd" he states. So that's what they did and they spent the rest of the morning showing me around. Until I returned to the castle for lunch promising to stop by again in future.

Tom's POV

After reading the book I returned it to Ruby who returned it to the library. I honestly don't believe in true love. But the book was fascinating none the less. However, I still don't know why Teresa wanted it so badly she left our first study session.

I also wonder if this test thing works. So I decide to do it with someone who definitely doesn't love me. Walburga Black. "Hey Black, give me your left hand" I order her.

"Get lost Riddle, I am helping Orion study" she tells me. Orion Black is her younger second cousin. They've always been close since Orion started at Hogwarts. I heard from Lestrange that there is a rumor of an arranged marriage between them.

"It'll only take a few seconds of your time" I tell her.

"It's fine Walburga, I think I get the equations now. Help Riddle, then you can check my work" Orion tells her smiling. She relents and gives me her left hand. I align my right with it and green sparks appeared.

"What the hell was that Riddle?" she demands pulling her hand away.

"A test and you passed it" I tell her and leave the common room.

"No way, you tell him" I hear someone mumble.

"Me, you lost her" another replies.

"He does like you more Avery" another voice states. I turn the corner to see Lestrange, Avery and Mulciber talking in hushed tones.

"No he likes Lestrange better" Avery counters.

"Mulciber, are you not suppose to be watching Teresa?" I ask him calmly. They freeze and look at me with wide eyes. "Answer me Mulciber" I tell him.

"I was, but I lost her as everyone left the great hall after breakfast in the crowd. We've been trying to find her and no luck" he explains. I sigh rubbing my temples.

"I'm sure she'll be in the great hall at lunch" Avery assures me.

"She'd better be" I tell him annoyed. We all go to the great hall for lunch and I look at the Gryffindor table. It didn't take me long to find Teresa sitting with the Prewett twins, Weasley and Lupin. Laughing at something one of the twins said. Soon Yaxely and Rosier appear still in their quidditch uniforms.

As I eat lunch I make a plan to test Teresa. See whats sparks our hands produced. But first I have to get her alone away from her blood traitor friends.
