Tom Riddle Era: Faline Potter

Halloween Dance

Teresa's POV

It's been a haptic two months since school began. Tom has been very affectionate. I know he wants to do more then make out. But I'm nervous, it'll be my first time and I want it to be perfect. Maybe we'll do it tonight.

Anyway not a lot has happened since school started. I've been studying hard along with Tom. We've helped plan the ball. The girls and I went dress shopping, even got shoes and accessories. The guys brought tuxes. It was so amusing to see guys struggle to ask girls to the dance.

I told Tom about how horrible Harry was at it and dancing. We had a good laugh. He then admitted he wasn't really good at dancing. So I gave him lessons in our common room. Just a simple waltz, nothing to complicated.

Anyway the girls and I kicked Tom out of the common room. So that we could get ready for the ball together. While he returned to his old dorm in the Slytherin common room to get ready with his friends. "I don't get why we're getting ready now, when the ball isn't for another three hours" I whine.

"Perfection takes time, and we want to look perfect for our dates" Pomona states. I roll my eyes and we all start getting ready. Starting with hair.

(Time skip)

We're finally ready. I step into my shoes and smooth my dress. "Lets go blow the guys away" I tell the girls. They agree and we go to the entrance hall. I stop behind the wall.

"You ok?" Pomona asks me.

"Yeah, I just need a minute" I tell her. "Go on without me" I tell the girls. They agree and left going to be with their dates. I take a deep breath. "You can do this" I tell myself and step out from behind the wall. Everyone stares at me.

All I want to do is run. But Tom appears and kisses my hand. "You look beautiful" he tells me.

"Thank you, you look handsome" I tell him. As we descend the stairs together. We join his friends and their dates. We then all enter the great hall together.

"There you two are" McGonagall says as se joins us.

"Evening Professor McGonagall" I say.

"You two will be opening the ball" she tells Tom and I.

"What?" I ask shocked.

"Are you serious professor?" Tom asks.

"Very serious Mr Riddle" she tells him. "Dance floor is over there" she tells us pointing to it before leaving.

"May I have this dance?" Tom asks me.

"Of course you may" I say with a smile. He leads me onto the dance floor. Te music begins and he takes my waist. We begin to waltz. Soon we're joined by others and I begin to relax. "You've been practicing" I say looking up at Tom.

"Maybe a little" he admits. The song finishes and we leave the dance floor. "Do you want a drink?" he asks me and I nod my head. He left me to go get us a drink.

"Having fun?" Bilius asks me.

"Yes, you?" I ask him.

"Sure am, dancing with all the girls without dates. Or with dates who won't dance with them" he states. "Speaking of, where's your date?" he asks me.

"Getting us drinks" I tell him. "Here he comes now" I say with a smile. Tom joins us and offers me a drink. "Thank you" I say and kiss his cheek.

"Well I see another damsel in need of a dance, have fun" Bilius tells us. Before leaving us.

"What was that about?" Tom asks me.

"See that girl over there?" I ask nodding to the one that hadn't danced all night. Sitting next to her date. "She hasn't danced all night and longs too. But her date won't dance with her. In come Bilius" I explain as we watch.

"May I have your arm?" Bilius asks offering the girl his hand.

"Arm, leg. I'm all yours" she says relieved and he leads her to the dance floor.

"So he doesn't have a date and dances with any girl he wants" Tom says impressed.

"Yep, he may joke around. But he can be a real flirt at parties" I tell him. "Lets go for a walk, it's a beautiful night" I tell him. He agrees and we finish our drinks and left.

"Are you having fun?" Tom asks me.

Yes" I tell him. "Tom, can we talk about something?" I ask him.

"Of course" he tells me.

"I know you want to do it and so do I. But we can't force it, it has to be natural" I tell him.

"I know" he says cupping my face and kisses me. "Besides I want it to be perfect for you" he adds.

"As long as you are there, it'll be perfect" I tell him. "Besides I'm a little nervous about it" I tell him.

"Nervous, why?" he asks me.

"I've never done it before" I tell him.

"Neither have I" he tells me. "Lets rejoin the ball, I think the feast is about to start" he tells me. I agree and we return to the great hall. We sit with my friends and enjoy the feast. Before going back to the dance floor and danced the night away.

(Time skip) Tom's POV

Faline and I had gone to the courtyard to star gaze. When she fell asleep on my shoulder. So I carried her back to our common room. I knew I couldn't take her to her dorm and I was not going to leave her on the couch.

So I take her to my dorm room and lay her on my bed. I remove her make up and let her hair down. Then remove her shoes then transfigure her dress into a night gown. Then got ready for bed and join her. Holding her in my arms and I fall asleep. Praying she won't freak out the next morning.

(Time skip to next morning) Teresa's POV

I woke up in bed with an arm around me. I look around confused. This isn't my room. I notice I'm in a blue silk night gown. Who changed me? "I transfigured your ball gown" Tom says in a tired voice. I turn to face him. "You fell asleep and I didn't want to leave you in the common room. As I couldn't get into your dorm, so brought you to mine. We only slept" he explains.

"Thank you" I say. "Though next time you can wake me up" I tell him.

"And miss a chance to sleep with you in my arms? Never" he tells me tightening his arms around me. "Now its a weekend, lets go back to sleep" he tells me. I agree still feeling tired and snuggle into his chest. Listening to his heartbeat as I fall back into a dreamless sleep.
