Teresa's POV
The weekend was good, I completed all my homework. Spent time with my new friends, even played quidditch with them. It'd help Bilius a lot with his quidditch tryout. Tom didn't annoy me all weekend, hallelujah. It's now Monday.
I received my book today, Faline dropped it off. She is such a lovely owl. I read the page on my wand wood first. But I couldn't pluck up the courage to look at Voldemort's wand. So I just put it in my bag and went to class.
In Potions I sat with Tom as usual and we paired to work on a potion together. We made the best potion in class. Tom and I then walked to study hall together. We got a table at the back of the hall and sat down.
"I saw you got a package this morning, was it the book?" Tom asks me.
"Yes, I have it here" I say handing him the book. "Page six is my wood" I tell him. He opens it and I start to study.
                              Tom's POV
I opened the book to the page Teresa told me to and read it: Apple-wood wands are not made in great numbers. They are powerful and best suited to an owner of high aims and ideals, as this wood mixes poorly with Dark magic. It is said that the possessor of an apple wand will be well-loved and long-lived, and I have often noticed that customers of great personal charm find their perfect match in an apple-wood wand. An unusual ability to converse with other magical beings in their native tongues is often found among apple wand owners, who include the celebrated author of Merpeople: A Comprehensive Guide to Their Language and Customs, Dylan Marwood.
Mixes poorly with dark magic, so  won't be able to make her a deatheater. Pity and she had such high potential. Still she could be of use to me for other purposes. I go to the content page and then open it to the page on my wand wood. I read it then look at Teresa. "Hi Teresa, read this" I tell her hand her the book back.
                              Teresa's POV
I was just taking notes down on the changes of the five theories of yin and yang. When Tom told me to read something handing me the book I'd given him. I look at the page and discover it is the one on his wand wood. Taking a deep breath I start to read it:
Yew wands are among the rarer kinds, and their ideal matches are likewise unusual, and occasionally notorious. The wand of yew is reputed to endow its possessor with the power of life and death, which might, of course, be said of all wands; and yet yew retains a particularly dark and fearsome reputation in the spheres of dueling and all curses. However, it is untrue to say (as those unlearned in wand-lore often do) that those who use yew wands are more likely to be attracted to the Dark Arts than another. The witch or wizard best suited to a yew wand might equally prove a fierce protector of others. Wands hewn from these most long-lived trees have been found in the possession of heroes quite as often as of villains. Where wizards have been buried with wands of yew, the wand generally sprouts into a tree guarding the dead owner's grave. What is certain, in my experience, is that the yew wand never chooses either a mediocre or a timid owner.
Wow, maybe there is hope for Tom after-all. If he finds true love and accepts it. I then frown, for some reason it hurt to think of him with a girl. But why? I hate both Tom Riddle and Voldemort, why do I care if he loves another?
"I have to go to the library, I'll try to be back soon. Just keep studying and take notes" I tell him before leaving the study hall. I run to the library and start searching for the librarian.
"Are you lost?" a voice asks and I turn to see a dark skinned man.
"I'm looking for the librarian" I tell him.
"That's be me, Pere Robert at your service" he says smiling. He's smiling reminds me of Kingsley's.
"Do you have a section on love?" I ask him. "I want to find true love and don't know how to find it" I state.
"A most powerful ancient form of magic, mot many still believe in such things. But love can protect anyone from the darkest of all spells" he states. He's not wrong, my mother's love protected Harry from death. "Come, I'll show you to the right book" he announces.
We go to the reference section and he stands before the pedestal. "True love's test" he says clearing and an open book appears before him. "Here you go, you have until the end of the week to return it" he states.
"Thank you so much" I say holding the book close. I return to the study hall and place the book in my bag. "You finish taking notes?" I ask Tom who nods his head.
"What was that book you placed in your bag?" he asks me.
"Nothing important, lets continue studying and swap notes" I tell him. So that's what we did for the last half hour. Before I went to Transfiguration and he went to Ancient Runes.
