Chapter 10 : Big News

"Hiccup! Hiccup!" Snotlout shouted when he arrived at Hiccup's room.

"Snotlout what are you doing here? It's two in the morning." Hiccup groaned in his bed.

Snotlout ignored Hiccup's words and pulled the blanket that Hiccup was snuggling in. He grabbed his shirt and dragged him near his face. "Your girlfriend is missing!"

Hiccup's eyes became wide open. "What?!" Hiccup was shocked as he pushed himself away from Snotlout's grip.

"How did you know?"

"Ruff told me she was going to check on Astrid if she's okay cause she just left after the meeting. And when she got to her room, she's not there! She's not in her house! She's not on Berk!"

Hiccup ran outside towards Astrid's house. He heard someone crying. "Astrid!" He called worriedly. Hope filled his heart.

He ran to her room but there was another girl who wasn't Astrid. It was Ruff. She was crying on Astrid's desk while reading a letter.

"Ruff?" Hiccup stuttered.

"Here." Ruff handed a letter, pointing at Hiccup without looking at him. "It's for you." She sniffed.

Hiccup took it and looked at the folded paper. He read it after opening it.

Hiccup, I know we love each other but you're getting married with another girl. And I can't accept that you......did it.....with her. I'm sorry Hiccup, but it's time for me to forget about you and I think it's best for everyone if I stay out of this. I know it's stupid for me to run away but I can't look at you everyday with another girl. I love you Hiccup. I always have....

Hiccup felt heartbroken. Either because Astrid ran away or she wants to forget about him. But the worst thing was that she thought Hiccup did it with Merida although he didn't.

He tried searching for Astrid but couldn't find her. Hours turned to days, days turned to months, months turned to years. Hiccup gave up searching for Astrid.
