Emma POV: I check my watch 7:25. I'm early. I grab my stuff for babysitting and my knife. you'll never know when to be ready I slip it into its sheath and walk up to the front door and knock. I waited for a second and then the door opens.
"hey Emma" says annabeth, stepping back to let me in.
"hey" I say walking in and smiling.
"so Zoe is upstairs playing in her room, she's had dinner and its bedtime for her at 8:30 just as a treat for tonight" annabeth tells me
"okay got it" I say.
"oh and if there's a monster attack then there's weapons in each room except Zoe's room" she says
"alright then. I have my knife in my boot just in case anyway" I say.
"well your prepared for everything" Percy says coming downstairs, laughing. I roll my eyes and sigh.
"but anyway there's movies in the cupboard by the TV and sweets in the kitchen if you guys want to watch a movie" annabeth says, hitting her husband playfully on the arm. I smile and look down at my ring. its beautiful. a silver ring with garnets and a little black pearl on it. we're getting married on December 13th (one favorite day in December just saying. Swifties will get this) suddenly Zoe comes running downstairs to say hi. I grin down at her and look at annabeth.
"we'll be just fine anyway have fun!" I say waving as she heads out the front door.
"do you want to play tea party?" Zoe asks me
"of course" I say, smiling at her.
"yay!" Zoe takes my hand and leads me upstairs to her room.

annabeth POV: its around 10pm when percy and I get home. Emma is sitting on the couch, reading. I sneak up on her and whisper yell
"HELLHOUNDS!" Emma jumps up ready for attack and I laugh.
"oh hey how was your night?" she asks
"great thanks so how was yours?" I say
"brilliant. Zoe is as good as gold she went to bed when I said it was lights out and went straight to sleep" she tells me.
"aww. well she deserves a treat for being a good girl. I'm definitely bringing her to the toy shop or something" I say.
