He was here.
With a swift flick of his hand he shut the yellow checkered cab door as a wicked grin lifted the corners of his mouth. Behind him, he listened as the small yellow cab turned back around in the other direction, but he paid no attention to it. Right now, his attention was on the school that stood in front of him, and the job he was given. If you asked him, he would have preferred a get in and get out type of mission, but he was forced to stay here for a few days to gain trust and all that other BS that meant noting to him. With his ability it would have been faster, but he wasn't going to mess this up. After all, it meant he would be free of Stryker. As much as it did pain him and annoy him, he could do this. It was only a few days not a year.
Before he made his descent down to the mansion, he took the moment to survey the front entrance as he recalled the information he had been given. Once he agreed to Stryker's offer, he had been given a bit more information, though it was still barely anything, and given a warning. He knew that the man who owned this mansion turned it into a school for mutants like him. Stryker also informed him that said man who still lives here is the most powerful physic that they know of. That meant he had to be careful when he met the man, and watch his back at all times. If he gave them one sign that he was suspicious, his mission would be blown. He could not let that happen.
He would make sure that didn't happen.
Behind his thick black-framed sunglasses, his eyes continued to scan over the property. The stone mansion was large, spanning across the perfectly cut and manicured front lawn. Glass windows lined the house from top to bottom, reflecting the gorgeous blue skies back to him. Looking away from the house, he turned his head towards the road behind him looking at his surroundings. There was nothing but road that stretched on for miles. As he stared down the road he just came down, he recalled the car ride being long, and distant. Nothing was on that road for a good two hours. He should be worried, but another wicked grin plastered his face. Behind those dark sunglasses, his eyes sparkled with mischief because with his ability he wouldn't have to worry about anyone coming after them. Especially, after what Stryker had done to further "improve" him, there was no way in hell anyone would catch them.
With that being said, he hoisted his duffle bag over his shoulder, gripping the handles tightly. On his way down to the school, he caught a glimpse of the sign out front that read, Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. He arched a quizzical brow as he passed by, and couldn't help but shake his head.
"Gifts? Please." He mocked. "They've been a damn curse since the beginning." He thought cruelly.
A dark look crossed his face, and he pushed away memories of his past before they could plague his mind. In hopes to distract himself, he continued to observe the house noticing the branches of ivy that covered parts of the stone exterior. It crawled its way up to the faded grey roofing, and wrapped around the stone columns near the roof. Continuing down, he passed by the row that was lined with topiary trees, taking note that he was nearing the front door. His boots marched heavily along the smooth dirt path, while clouds of dirt swept around his feet, coating the sole of his boots. As he neared closer to the door, his heart picked up in speed. Someone like him shouldn't be nervous, but he was. Perhaps it was still that guilt that ate him for what he was sent here to do. He released a low growl deep in his chest, knowing he couldn't think about this right now. He had to snap out of it. With hurried steps, he stepped up to the large, mahogany door that hid underneath the stone archway. Minutes ticked by and he patiently waited, tapping the boot of his shoe. When no one answered, he opted for the brass knocker that hung above the door, but froze when he heard a voice.
He spun around so quickly he almost toppled into the door behind him. Pushing off the door, his brows snapped together as he scanned his surroundings. When no one was in sight, he began to wonder if he had gone insane. Until, he heard the voice again.
