Remember the whole Roree's dad is thinking about getting a new job and might be having to move thing? Well... yeah this happened....
After Roree's dad screamed at Roree from up the stairs for five minutes straight for another Tuesday on a school morning, Roree yelled "Yay" in a very sarcastic way.
She was sitting on her bed with Jake getting ready when, her dad knocked on her door and said in a very excited, emotional way "Roar I have very exciting news to tell you I've already told Mimi and poppa!"
Roree had a weird look on her face and her head started to hurt. "Very excited news?" She thought. "Oh no! is this good or bad?!" She thought drastically.
The only really thing that was "Very exciting news" to her was getting her dog, Jake.
"What?! Come in dad!" She said getting excited, put still really scared in side. He came in her room sat next to her and Jake and says, "The moving thing, the moving thing I was telling you about the other day?.... ". "Dad that was yesterday! But yes, go on I'm listening." Roree says getting more excited.
Her dad rolls his eyes, "Oh, yes I'm aware of that Roree." He says thinking about how short notice all this is. "Ok, ok, ok! Stop rambling and just tell me the news already! And by the way I've missed the bus. It's 6:30!" (She leaves at 6:15) Roree says shaking her dad back and forth.
"Ok I am not...and I know you missed the bus, that's part of the surprise." He says trying to get to the point.
"Ok look, the job thing, well.. I got the job!! And it's in New York City!!" He yells with a big smile on his face. "What?! NEW YORK CITY?! LIKE THE NEW YORK CITY!!?!!" She screams back. "YES!!!!" He screams. And we are moving tomorrow!" He says with excitement, with his arms up on the air, looking at her and those arms start to go down very slowly..
"TOMORROW?! No I can't....school, my friends, Mimi, poppa, Jake, me!!!" Roree says screaming then quieter. "No,no,no it's ok, it's ok Roar. You told be sometimes that you just want to be homeschooled. That must mean you don't like it too much anyway, we can move, you go to a better school, and start over!" He says with so much passion in his voice.
Roree looked super happy, scared, and excited all at the same time. "I mean I guess I could FaceTime and still keep in touch with Ocean and June." She said very indecisively. "Wait what about, Mimi and Poppa?"
Roree can't remember a time in her life when she didn't live with her Mimi and Poppa. I mean, they did move in when she was a one year old sooo it makes since. And Jake, her and Jake were raised there up to twelve years!
"It will be so weird not seeing Mimi and Poppa everyday, not seeing farm lands almost everywhere, not seeing too many houses, having a big backyard, I won't have any of it." She thought realizing her whole life will change the very next day!
With all Roree's questions that her dad can just see right though her he answers a lot, "Mimi and Poppa will be fine there going to visit a lot and stay for a bit and we can also FaceTime and text them. Jake is coming with us and we still have a yard, not too big but we have a gate and I think he'll like there too. Your school, it will be a new better one! And the house, I've already bought it it's a town home! Weird right? You have a pretty big room, 3 rooms in the small home for me, you, and a guest room for Mimi and Poppa! I promise your going love it and the city everything! Come on Roar!" He says with is throat hurting by how much and fast he just talked.
Roree saw the excitement in his eyes, "I guess he's ready to raise me on his own, and I guess it would be cool to live in a city and meet new friends. But wait, what is his job?! I totally forgot to mention that and so did he!" She thought just laughing in her head.
"Ok dad! Let's do this together! And by the way what is your job? That is the main reason why we are moving." Roree says still laughing.
"YES! I'm so excited and oh yes my job is I'm an Author! And by the time we live there hopefully, I'll become a New York Times best seller!!"
"Whoah!! I knew he has been writing stories but I never knew he actually did something with them! I guess he didn't want to tell me that to get my hopes up or something. Smart dad, smart." She thought having a whole conversation in her head, she does this very often.

Later, after she took in all of that information, hugged her dad over and over agin, hugged Mimi over and over agin and same for old, sleepy Poppa.
Roree went back upstairs after all her hug attacks and packing, oh yeah! And "apparently I'm not going to school for a few days." She thought with an aha moment.
"Now Roree, your gonna have to finish packing today I know it's just one day, but
we need to leave first thing in the morning your going on a plane for your first time Roree!"
Dear Diary,
This is a lot to take in right now I mean, I'm moving tomorrow! To New York!! What!? Not every kid like that even gets to visit to New York I'm gonna live there! Isn't that awesome?!
Plus I'm going on my first every plane ride ever!! I'm so excited but.. the not so exciting part is the, waking up at 4:00 morning part.
Yep not fun, but I don't really care I'm just so excited, anxious, and very nervous about moving, but it's ok!
I'm going to miss living here though hopefully I don't get too homesick. I know I'm really gonna miss Mimi and Poppa not only do I not live with them anymore, we won't even be in the same state! Dad said we can still be and contact with them and they will come visit for fun and all the holidays at least.
I'm almost done packing I've been packing all day nonstop since 6:00 something this morning dad has been doing the same.
And what's funny is Jake is soo confused we even already packed all his things up but his food and bed so we would leave any of it here.
I'm gonna miss this room everything out of my closet, dresser, side tables, and bathroom it's empty even my bed covers and blankets but one I guess that's what I'm sleeping with tonight, and on the plane.
What about Jake though? Dogs can't go on the plane, I don't know I'm sure my dad has some type of plane for that we might have to sneak him.
Not sure how that's gonna work what whatever I have a few more things to pack in the car and I'm going to sleep is 11:00 night and I got to get up at 4:00 something
Ok see you tomorrow, byyyye. Wish me luck I'm gonna need it.
