No sooner had Severus opened the double doors to the hall than the first heads were already heading for them.
Severus put his arm behind his husband and directed him through the now completely silent room.
Harry, who was uncomfortable with all his eyes, leaned closer to Severus. Merlin, how he hated this stare.
His husband meanwhile had quite different problems. He had noticed in the crowd, namely, some students who had a telltale scar across the face.
The Potions Master's anger rose rapidly. How could these brats dare to send his kitten 'order lists' over body parts?

Good thing he had passed on the answer to these letters to Sirius, would come up with some nastiness.
besides, the Animagus had something to do in this way and was not bored.

But the fact that some of these outrageous letter writers were running around here at Hogwarts did not please the ex-spy at all.
he would ask Harry not to walk through the hall alone when he could not be with him, not that one of these toads was attacking the little one.
but even he himself would make their 'branded' people, all of them seventh year, their last year hell.

During his revenge, Severus shot dead-eyed, and even the teacher's desk received a warning look from him, 'given', just for safety's sake.
When the two arrived at the Gryffindor table, and thus at Harry's vintage, they were stared at with wide eyes. Especially Neville did not seem to know if he was shaking with fear or welcoming Harry. He decided on both.
"Hello ... harry ... nice ... di ... to see you. "
"Hey Nev, I'm happy too."
Severus had to refrain from a nasty grin, he thought he had lost his intimidating effects in the last few weeks. Good to know that was not the case.
He turned to his husband.
"I think you're in good hands with your friends, and the way Luna looks to us, she's sure to join you later. I'll pick you up later. "
Harry gave his husband a grateful smile. he too had not missed the scars and he knew only too well that that was the reason Severus wanted to join him later.

When he had sat down and Severus had gone to the staff table, the questions literally rushed to him.
"Harry, how are you?"
"These ears are cute, can I touch them?"
"You poor, you're married to the bat, is it very bad?"
"How do you handle all the letters and requests for body parts?"
"Was Snape really a spy all those years?"
it was, surprisingly, Neville who stopped the questions rain, albeit in a cruel way.
The boy picked up a fork and scratched loudly at his still empty plate.
General gasp was the result, Harry even uttered a loud hiss.
"Now let Harry first take a breather, he can not answer so many questions at the same time."
"Thanks, Nev, but please never do that again."
With that, Harry pointed to the fork that still held his classmate in his hand.
Only now did Neville seem to realize that not only did Harry have cat ears, but he also had a better ear. On the spot, the shy boy went red.
"Sorry, Harry, really, that was not intentional."
"I know that, but please do not forget it in the future. and as for your questions. I will answer them as soon as the whole hall does not listen. "
With that the boy pointed behind him.
It was true. The whole room was still terribly quiet. All eyes kept on the boy with the cat tags. only in between you could hear soft whispering.
This was also noticed by his friends. Dean said softly:
"Best of all, we'll wait for the food to start, then they'll all be distracted."
Agreed nod from all sides.

Of course Severus noticed how quiet it was in the hall at the front desk. So everyone could hear the questions that struck him by the classmates of his husband on this.
to be honest, he was astonished that Longbottom, of all people, was calm, even though Harry's reaction had not been the source of enthusiasm for the method.
Shortly thereafter, the Gryffindor table was quiet and Harry's friends poisoned the other tables.
They did not seem to like it at all so to be the focus of attention. Well, then at least they knew how Harry always felt.
'Severus, you just have to talk, until recently you have not acted differently to the boy.' He could still have fought for his blindness, as with Slytherin's garters, he had missed how uncomfortable Harry was all the attention. Well and now he himself was in the public eye and he hated it just like his husband.
The opening double doors drew his attention to Minerva, who was entering the room with the new students.
