Hatred Virus: A Different Ending

Nightmare

Jack's POV:
"Hello? Oh, hello Mr. President, how are you? I see, yeah we're actually getting ready for the ceremony. Yes, will be there in a few hours. Ok, bye." It was the day of our awards, I deserve it for all the work I've put in. I was in my house getting ready. I took a long enough shower for this, I combed my hair and put on my suit. This time, I didn't put on my hat, but I had it stored in case some fans want to see it. I walked out of my room and noticed RoPo looking out the window.

"RoPo? How do I look?"

"Huh? Oh, umm, alright."

"What do you mean by 'alright'?"

"It looks fine, I guess."

"Give me a reason!"

"Look bro, I'm not in the mood to give others compliments on their look. In fact, I'm not in a mood to be nice!" After what RoPo said, he gasped. He turned back to the window and pulled his hoodie up, "I'm sorry Jack, I'm not really myself. It's been hard after what happened."

"Yeah, yeah. Aren't you getting dressed?"

"Heh, I wasn't invited. I'm not the hero this time."

"Well, the president wanted you to come. Just come on, it will clear your mind."

"(Groans) Fine."

"Yes!" RoPo went into my room to change, I waited a while and got a call from AJ.

"Jack? You're ready? The ride will be there in a few minutes."

"Yeah, we're ready. See you soon."

"Alright." After a while, RoPo came out in his black suit with a red undershirt and a bow tie. He even took off his hat for once in his life. Both RoPo and I walked out my house and saw the ride coming. We got inside and saw all our friends from before. I even saw Harlow again, I was happy to see her.

"How long is the ceremony? I just want to get it over with," said RoPo impatiently.

"It will last two hours and there's an after dinner party with the president's family," responded AJ, "The others will join us there too." I was excited, but I knew deep down that RoPo had a different opinion.

RoPo's POV:
I didn't want to be here! There I said it, I don't know why, I mean I always enjoyed visiting the White House. What the hell is wrong with me!? When we arrived, everyone was separated from me and I ended up alone. I stood in a corner at the after party and it felt like the entire place was staring at me with a nasty look. Eventually the president came out and called all of us to have dinner with him and his family.

"Thank you all for coming, I appreciate that you took the time and came out for this celebration."

"We are glad you invited us, Mr. President," said Cap.

"And I see everyone made it too. Wonderful, please sit. Now I'm sure many of you have questions about the remaining virus viles."

"Yeah, we're wondering how secure is it," said Jack so enthusiastically. I, for one, didn't want to know anything about the virus or anything for that matter! I start to daydream or is it night dream? Anyway, I just stared, pretended to listen. In my dream, I was in a strange place, also chained up. I hear whispers in the distance, I first thought that it was just the chatter going on outside. Well, I was dead wrong. There were scientists talking about me...

"He's too dangerous for anyone, we must resort to other methods."

"We have, but the last time we did, we failed and that thing escaped."

"True, but we can't kill him either, he regenerates from bits."

"Crap! They want to kill me!?" I said in panic. And that's when I knew, I screwed up.

"He's awake! Get her!" I knew exactly what they meant by her. And no it wasn't me! It was AJ and she wasn't happy when she walked in. I tried so hard to escape, I mean that's what you got to do if you see the look of the devil in an angel.

"You're going to wish you stayed asleep." I tried to speak but words didn't came out, but hissing. I couldn't even remember if it was a dream anymore. After a while, I broke free and also noticed black goo tentacles around me. Oh shit. These tentacles went straight to AJ and she was thrown to a wall.

"Oh God! I'm sorry," I tried to say but something else came out of my mouth, "Oh, I'm sorry, but I couldn't let you stop me." I then saw both RoPo.EXE and Antivort, it looked like chaos. Then, his eyes looked at mine. Holy hell I wish I was dead!

"Heh, why do you have that look, RoPo? You shouldn't be so surprised. I've told you in the past, 'it's better on the dark side.' But you don't listen, so I guess you'll have to be exterminated out!"

"(Giggles)"

"Do your worst..." Antivort came charging at my soul, it broke it in a single move. I begged them to stop, I tried to convince them to let me go. It didn't happen, "Don't sulk like a baby. You knew what was coming if you didn't obey my command. I don't need to continue my rein."

"Stop! I don't want to die. Let me go! Stoooooppp!!!" I eventually woke up screaming to myself. When I fully woke up, I noticed the others looking at me strangely. I thought the worst, but then...

"Are you alright, RoPo?" I was relieved, when I heard AJ's voice. I couldn't do anything though, I only excused myself and headed to the balcony.

Angel's POV:
When RoPo left the table, I too excused myself to talk to him. He's having some difficulties with his current situation, I need to be there. I walked out to where he was and he was looking out the balcony.

"When I was free from Antivort's corruption, I couldn't understand what had happened. I was lost, my brain was scrambled and my body hurt. Now looking about the city, I realized how much could have happened if I wasn't rescued. This world, may not have existed because of me."

"RoPo..."

"Don't give me your talk on how you were the same as me before because guess what, that was you but this it me! We aren't the same, you hear me! We are completely different, I don't know why you think you can help me, because you can't!" After what RoPo said, his eyes flickered black for a second. He's given way to Antivort's corruption again.

"RoPo, understand that I'm trying to help. I know that I'm not in the situation you're in now but that doesn't mean that I can't help you. You say that I don't know what you're going through, well guess what, I have a dark side that frequency comes out when I lose control. This 'Dark Angel' can most definitely help you understand your issues if I can't!" RoPo eyes were worried, I've gone too far. I guess this Darkness can take you when you least expected it.
