Hatred Virus: A Different Ending

RoPo's POV:
Dawn curled up into a ball and rocked back and forth. I knew she was embarrassed, but there's nothing wrong with expressing her feelings. I got up to comfort her, I sat next to her and gave her a hung.

"Don't be ashamed, Dawn. It's better to let it all out. It's not good to bottle up your emotions, it can hurt you."

"I-I know... I'm sorry," she said as she cried.

"Don't be, it you really just want to be friends, I'm cool with that." I gave her a small smile, she looked up and I dried her tears. She quietly whisper something,

"... I do love you..." It was nice having someone here with me, "Will you say anything to anyone?"

"That depends, but I'll keep it a secret if you'd like." Dawn nodded, she was blushing a lot more. Who knew she was this cute? I didn't know as much, that's for sure. I know also that Dawn has kept me sane for a while. Every time I'm around her, my heartbeat is normal, I don't have high blood pressure, and I feel calm. If anything happens to her, I'm sure I'll lose it. It's a strange bond we have with each other. Almost if as we were destined to be together. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't realize Dawn gave me a small kiss on my cheek. When I realize, I blushed too. I didn't say anything, I just smiled.

Jack's POV:
Time is ticking, luckily Cap's alright. The reason we have little time is because more .EXE attacks appeared in the city. These .EXEs seem to have more power than before. I don't know why, it worries me. The other Avengers don't seem to be a match for those things.

"Cap, what are we going to do? We aren't at full power," I said in worry.

"We need to be on high alert. We'll soon be able to fight them off."

"Jack's right, Cap. I'm still injured and Angel hasn't recovered properly yet. You only have Alex."

"Then we will attack with him, Jack and Alex suit up. We're going out there." Both Alex and I suited up and Ash and Angel headed to were RoPo was. I decided to check on him too. All three of us walked to the lab and didn't expect anything in front of our eyes. Dawn was sleeping on RoPo's shoulder. He didn't seem worried when we walked in.

"What's going on?" I ask with intention.

"She feel asleep, she also healed my arm too."

"How?"

"Are you serious that dumb? With her magic."

"Oh... I forgot she had magic."

"You're weird sometimes and I don't know why. Why are you wearing your suit?"

"We're going to fight more .EXEs with increased strength and possibly stamina." I could tell RoPo shock in fear and anxiety. Mentioning .EXE at all to him gives him butterflies in his stomach.

"Be careful, if they have more power, they could be deadly," he said in terror.

"I'll be ok, if anything goes out of plan, our first move is to retreat."

"Who else is going?"

"Alex and Cap are. We'll be fine, nothing to worry about." I began to walk away, it was sad to see RoPo in such conditions. He won't be able to fight his inner self much longer. It's only a matter of time until he finally loses control.

Cap's POV:
I was putting my shield on my back when I heard chatter from outside.

"I guess Jack and Alex are really." I was walking out my room and noticed that I was in a different place. I was confused, I looked around to see if it was any familiar place. It wasn't.

"Ok this is strange."

"It's meant to be, Captain." I gasped, I knew who did this hallucinations.

"What's your play, Antivort?! What are you planning on doing?!"

"Well, I know you're going to make an attempt to fight against my army," she said with a grin.

"Why am I not surprised? Are you doing this as a distraction?"

"You know me all too well Captain, but not much." I didn't say much, her tricks are more than simple. I know from experience.

"Don't play dumb, Antivort! It's all going to fall for you like before."

"(Laughs) It was only beginning back then, your student broken, your ally dead. Your comrades soon will see darkness. You're losing everything, just like him."

"Enough! You're trying to get into my head! It's happened before, I won't fall for it again," I said as I walked away. Antivort then appeared in front of me.

"I'll tell you something Captain, it will all come to play. Your actions will be soon regret the moment you die. You may have outsmarted me, but that was only once."

"What are you saying,"

"Shut up, asshole! I will not fall for the same tricks again! Hear me now, it will be over very soon."

"Just give up, there's a side of you that doesn't want to do this. Don't you realize your actions?"

"Oh I do know my actions Captain, there is no side of me that is against what I do. Do you know why?" I remain in shock, she had cornered me and I wasn't able to move. Antivort has confiscated my shield from me.

"What are you doing?"

"Showing you my strength," she proceeded to break my shield in small pieces. It was frightening because she used only one hand to break it, "I don't feel no remorse for my actions."

"Who is that possible? Even I feel remorse for any harm I do to anyone."

"I'm not like you humans! You created me to be so violent and insane! Over the years, I've been growing power because of the negative actions and emotions of humans."

"How long ago?"

"Since the first humans appeared on this planet and beyond." Again, I was in shock. I didn't you what else to say, "It's all your fault for making me this way. Now I'll replay the favor by exterminating all of your kind." She had stabbed me on my side and laughed.

"Time is ticking Captain... you're in the endgame now..."
