Jack's POV:
"Everything is in order! Now the city is protected by this barrier.""Good job, Jack. Now, how do we get the world?"
"I'm working on that, it could work if we have a much larger source of power."
"... or magic?"
"Magic? But, you can't do magic, AJ."
"I understand that, but I know for a fact that I'll be able to use my abilities in a few more days." I was happy with that, AJ had a large source of energy because of her connection with emotions. I continued to work and tried to get a better understanding of her abilities. At least she let me. AJ would basically sit in a chair for a few hours, but it's AJ I'm talking about. She would probably sleep on that chair, bonus! I started to put these connection things to get a reading of her powers.
"Ash?"
"Yeah?"
"Can you get that notepad in that drawer?"
"Alright, are you going to write notes?"
"Yes." I like note taking, keeps everything in order. Though, I was getting hungry.
"Where's Alex with the food?!"
"He should be here in five minutes, I'm guessing you're hungry? Don't worry, I'm starving as well."
"Yes, it's been hours that I haven't eaten anything. Thank for agreeing with me, AJ." We all heard footsteps five minutes later.
Yes, finally... We all immediately thought it was Alex, but the door opened so suddenly. We all gasped to what we saw. A person limbed in the room. They coughed, breathed heavily and had their head down. It was too dark to see who it was, but they fell into the room.
"J... Jack..." I was scared, their voice was deep but high pitched, almost as if they were-
"RoPo?!" He coughed out blood, I didn't know what was happening. But, I took immediate action, the room we were all in had a cell that I could put RoPo in. This was for the worst case. I grabbed him by his arms and carefully dragged him to the cell. Ash saw what I was doing and ran to the cell to open the door. RoPo's mouth was stained with blood, I don't know what happened but again, I wasn't talking any chances.
"Ash, come with me down the hall. I think there are ingredients for a cure."
"And we're just leaving RoPo here like that?"
"Ashlyn, don't worry. I'll make sure he doesn't do anything crazy," said Angel. Ash had a worried look but didn't say anything. As for me,
"RoPo, just hang tight. We'll try to be quick." Ash and I left the room, I was thinking the worst possible thing. I tried my hardest to not think about it.
RoPo's POV:
I wanted so badly to tell my best friend that RoPo.EXE was trying to take over. No matter how hard I try, blood comes pouring out of my mouth. I kept choking on it, and it was morning now. Somehow, RoPo.EXE is managing to control me during the fricken day! I was in trouble, I wasn't really paying attention to what was happening around me."What's wrong, little one?" I didn't say anything, but what AJ said to me... frightened me.
"From what I can see, your true self is making an attempt to escape his prison. Why don't you just let him?" Again, nothing. Angel was getting creepier and scary as she talked. Almost as if... oh shit...
"Heh, by the look on your face, you've come to realize a truth. Though, I don't suppose you know it all." She laugh, she fricken laughed! And it wasn't a good laugh! Angel was going mad, I couldn't tell anyone. I could cough out more blood and that could cause me to faint.
"Understand RoPo, I never wanted this to come. Honestly, it could have all been avoided by one simple interaction," she said as she walked to me, "I will tell you this, I can always get rid of you. If you dare do anything to me, you will pay the price." My adrenaline was building up. I really wish I knew what she was saying, it could help me so much.
"Oh, I hear them approaching near. Shhh... don't tell anyone. Remember, you want to save your soul, not destroyed it like others." Angel walked back to where she was sitting earlier. Acting like nothing happened.
"I got it! Now, let me just..."
"It's ok Jack, he's stable now," said Angel. I was mad.
"Well, he does look better."
Yeah, better than before... I said to myself sarcastically. I turned my body to face the wall, I wasn't really interested in anything at the moment.
Jack's POV:
I trusted Angel that everything was ok, I know she wouldn't lie about something so dangerous. Though, I kept the cure near me, in case a breakout happens. I continued my experiment with AJ's magic. I'm surprised that she was just sitting there this entire time; she looked tired."Umm, you know you can sleep, right?"
"I know, but I'm waiting for Alex to get here."
"Frick! The food, I almost forgot! How did I almost forget?" Ash and Angel just giggled at me. They knew what they were doing. After a few minutes of testing and taking notes, the door slide open. The smell of deliciously cooked food was so good.
"It's about time! What took you so long?" I asked as I walked over to Alex.
"There was a long line of people walking, desperate measures, I'm assuming."
"There not the only ones..."
"Huh, what was that, RoPo? I didn't here you?" I asked.
"It's nothing. Nothing you'll care about." I swear there's something going on.
"AJ, you said he was stable a while ago."
"He was. This didn't happen in your absence." This was strange, but I couldn't do two things at once. I decided to focus on AJ for a while, then see what's up with RoPo. But first, food! We ordered Chinese, one of my many favorites. As we ate, I walked over to a RoPo's cell with a plate of food.
"Here you go, you need to eat."
"I ain't hungry."
"It's midday, RoPo. Eat!"
"I'm..." RoPo took a deep breath and everyone, including me was shocked at what he said afterwards. I wish I didn't here that specific voice again.
"I'm not interested! Just leave me be if you don't want to die!"
