The One You Love

White walls. White ceiling. I was in a bed with white sheets. There was a light above me that blinded me.

It seemed that everything in the room was white. Everything except for one thing. I looked over to a white bench and saw auburn hair on a boy in a blue uniform.

I smiled at him. He was asleep. I slowly sat up. I sat there for a while. I'm in the hospital. Why?

Oh. I passed out. Hikaru must have brought me here. I sighed. I guess I have to talk to him now.

"Hikaru?" I said. He looked at me with his amber eyes.

"Kairi?" he asked. I smiled at him. He was next to me within seconds.

"Are you okay?" he asked softly.

"Yeah. I think so." I said. He kissed me then pulled away.

"What happened?" he asked.

"I ...... I hadn't had any sleep for about a week." I said.

"That wouldn't make you pass out and become unconscious for hours." He said and looked straight into my eyes.

"I also.... Haven't eaten anything in about 4-5 days." I said.

"Why?" he asked.

"I was upset." I simply answered.

"You were upset? You've been tearing me apart." He said sadly.

"I didn't want to. I wanted to be with you." I said and looked down at my hands.

"Then why? Why did you ignore me?" he asked.

"You deserve someone better." I said and it was barely audible.

"No. No. There is no one better than you. Not for me." He said.

"I'm ...... Just a worthless girl. A distraction. You deserve a beautiful girl of a wealthy family. Not ...... Me." I said.

Hikaru said nothing. For a while. I turned to him. He was just staring at me. Then he smiled.

"You're wrong. I don't deserve a beautiful amazing girl like you. But that won't stop me from loving you." He said.

"But I can't be with you." I said.

"I don't care what my dad says. I want you. So he's going to have to deal with the fact that I love you." He smiled.

A doctor walked in and saw that I was awake.

"Hello Ms. Riku." He smiled. He did some tests.

"You're still a little weak so you're going to have to stay here for a while. But I don't think it will be that bad when your boyfriend here is with you." He laughed. "I'll send in your friends."

In a few minutes all the Hosts were in the room. Mori stood by the door, Kyoya and Tamaki were on the bench that Hikaru had fallen asleep on earlier, and Haruhi and Kauru stood by the wall. Honey was sitting on the bed with me.

"Are you okay Kairi-chan?" he asked.

"I'm okay Honey-senpai." I smiled. Someone cleared their throat by the door. I looked up and saw Mr. Hitachiin.

"May I have a word with Hikaru and Kairi alone." He said. All the Hosts slowly left.

Hikaru held my hand as his father walked over to my bed.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

"Yes sir. I'm okay." I said.

"Father-" Hikaru started but his father held up a hand so he stopped.

"Hikaru. Let me speak." He turned to me. "Kairi. I apologize for saying what I said to you. I shouldn't have."

"Mr. Hitachiin. It's okay-" I sad.

"No. It's not. What I said had put you in a position you shouldn't have been in. It put your life and danger. I put your life in danger. And I'm sorry." He said and looked from me to Hikaru. "I can see how much he cares about you. And how much you care about him."

Hikaru's hand tightened around mine.

"So, I am not going to arrange any marriages for you. Or Kauru. You two should be with the people you love." He looked at us both. "Well, I'll be going."

When he was at the door I stopped him.

"Mr. Hitachiin." I called. He turned around. "Thank you." I smiled. He smiled and left.

I turned to Hikaru and was surprised with a kiss. He pulled away and smiled.

"I love you my angel." He said.

"I know." I smiled. "I love you too."
